Pros: all natural and organic ingredients, nice fragrance, organic ingredients, revives your hair, strengthening
Cons: runs out quickly

When I googled the best organic shampoo, I came across Avalon Organics. The bestseller of this brand is Biotin B-Complex Therapy Thickening Shampoo 14 fl oz that has thousands of positive reviews up at iHerb.com. So, I couldn’t help but purchase it.

The most important thing here is the list of ingredients, which impressed me in a good way:

The quality bottle has a convenient press cap. No problems emerged with the bottle or cap. When on a trip I adhere scotch tape to the cap to prevent leakage.

The texture is transparent and neither thick nor watery. When I pour the shampoo into the cap, it lathers a little bit.

Scent:

This shampoo has a fresh scent, which is clear when you come into the bathroom. My husband loves it as well.

The scent is really intense! It’s no surprise, as the following ingredients can be found here:

rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, calendula officinalis flower extract(¹), citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil, citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil, citrus limon (lemon) peel oil, eucalyptus citriodora oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil(¹),Aloe barbadensis leaf juice (¹),geranium maculatum oil, cedrus deodara wood oil, cedrus atlantica bark oil, etc.

I haven’t decided what this scent reminds me of, as I feel meadow smell with flowers and grass after the rain and a pine forest in spring, plus I feel citrus notes sometimes. Anyway, the scent is amazing and refreshing on my hair.

Pros and cons:

About my hair: It’s greasy at the roots and dry at the ends that are split, by the way. I wash it everyday.

I’ve picked up this product for my vacation, as my hair looks like a straw in the sun and at the seaside. Moreover, the porosity and brittle hair appears. After every vacation I usually go to a hairdresser, but this time I returned home with better hair!

I’ve taken some medicine for my hair beforehand, so I’ve been using only the shampoo and conditioner on vacation, no oil or spray. I experienced some hair repair and protection and my hair felt revived.

The hair rinses off really well. It’s alive, clean, healthy, fluffy, soft and smooth. I think that the shampoo is really value for money!

In my opinion, the only drawback here is that it doesn’t go a long way, as well as the other organic products.

  • I can’t say that it lathers badly, but you should use quite a big amount of it to cover your hair properly or wash it twice. For the record, my hair is thick. The thing is that it lathers well where you apply it.
  • After a while I got used to it and now I’m washing the top of my head first and then the bottom. My husband had no such problem.
  • Using it everyday, the positive effect disappears and after 3 weeks my hair demands something different. So I guess, it’s better to use it along with other shampoos for your hair not to get addicted to this shampoo.

Hope you find my review helpful!

Take care!
