Hi!
Today I want to tell you about the Bottle warmer from Avent - the brand I absolutely trust.
This device was a present from our grandmother (I would have never bought it myself as it’s very expensive) but thanks granny:)
The stylishly designed Philips Avent Fast Bottle Warmer heats up bottles quickly and evenly. Easy to operate, it features a handy defrost setting and can also be used to warm baby food. The warmer's compact size makes it easy to store on a kitchen countertop or bedside table for nighttime feedings.
About the product:
1) It heats gently and evenly. There are no hotspots as the milk circulates during warming
2) Works with all Philips Avent bottles, toddler cups, and most food jars
3) Heats 4 ounces of milk in 3 minutes
4) Convenient defrost setting which defrosts breast milk and baby food
5) Small design fits on counter or nightstand
This warmer is not suitable for Philips Avent bottles of 60 ml and packets for breast milk Philips Avent.
Let's open it.
The design is very stylish and I’m not afraid to say that it looks cool on the kitchen counter top.
It’s white matte plastic with silver letters and silver button. It’s quite light - just 565 grams. I like to take this device with us when we travel. Considering that I must take a lot of stuff for baby - the weight and size of the device is just perfect.
How it works and what is it actually for?
The warmer consists of a cup, a standard cord and two-pin plug. Of course there is instruction guide inside - which I eventually lost somewhere.
Short instructions are also given at the side of the box.
At the back of the cup there is a sticker with encouraging words for every mom about vitamins, health and so on.
At the front there is a button with a light indicator to show that the device is ready.
There are 5 temperature regimes, one of which is defrosting for example, the breast milk or baby food. But
the Avent Packet will not fit in there. How to use?
1) At first you need to fill the cup with clean water. The amount of water should be exact to how much milk or baby food you want to heat up.
2) Then you’ll need to plug the device in.
3) Put food, water or even tea in the container
4) Twist the dial to the right setting
5) Press the button
6) And wait.
A neon light lets you know the unit is working. Once everything is ready it will light with a stable dim light.
The unit will work for 20 minutes which means that for 20 mins it’ll keep the right temperature for feeding then it’ll turn itself off.
Everything is so easy
Who will it be useful for?
Everything is great about this unit. Does every mom need it? I’m not so sure.
I recommend this device for those moms who keep their babies on artificial feeding or a mixed one. Or if you usually leave your kid with someone and decant to packets. Here yes, the unit will really help you out.
This unit will also be useful for parents who feed their children with food jars - as it’s very convenient to heat up cold jars. I, however, do the puree myself although I have heated them a couple of times.
And for those who feed their babies with breast milk - I think you don’t need to waste money on it - as I find it trifling. Why? You can always heat up everything yourself in warm water or in a sink. The price is very high for such a simple unit. I think that it is probably because of the brand name.
So, electric Bottle Warmer Philips AVENT is a great device.
+ it’s beautiful and will fit in with any kitchen style
+ easy to use
+ it heats up very fast
+ never heats up more than 50 °С, you do not need to worry that the food will be too hot
+ it defrosts very fast
+ it turns off itself
But there are minuses you should pay attention to as well:
- Not all bottles or containers are suitable for it
- The Avent defrost packets don’t fit in it
- I find the price too high.
Despite disadvantages, I think this unit worth a great mark. But think carefully before buying about whether you really need it. I hardly ever use it.
Thanks for reading:)
