You learn a lot of new stuff when your pet is sick.

After stool samples test our vet diagnosed colitis (or inflammation of the colon). After a course of veterinary medications we were prescribed another probiotic supplement, ‘cause cats digestive system, too, must be supported by probiotics.

Description:

  • Contains a probiotic proven to promote normal intestinal microflora
  • Increases levels of beneficial bacteria
  • Promotes a strong immune system
  • Contains a guaranteed level of live microorganisms
  • Convenient single packets, easily sprinkled on your cat's food

Ingredients:

Animal digest, brewers dried yeast, Enterococcus faecium, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of Vitamin C), Vitamin E supplement, beta-Carotene, zinc proteinate, taurine, salt, manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, copper proteinate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite. A-2500

General information:

The supplement is sold in boxes with 30 sachets, each for one dose, which is very convenient. Our cat takes the supplement twice a day, according to our vet’s prescription.

The consistency and color of the supplement resemble those of sand, with teeny-tiny white inclusions.

Judging from my cat’s reaction, the supplement is odorless and tasteless, and completely indistinguishable in food. The manufacturer claims, the supplement improves the taste of food, and its quality, though.

The supplement is easy to use: sprinkle it on your cat’s food and that’s it. My pet is quite capricious, so I mix the supplement with her wet food. When she’s sick, I do my best to make concessions to her and feed her with tasty food only.We were advised to take a course of 10 from 14 sachets. However, I chose the longer course of 14 days due to her acute colitis.

It’s been 20 days, and while we’re waiting for her stool test to come, I can’t help but note that her appearance, appetite and general condition have definitely improved.

Conclusion:

The probiotic has reduced the amount of red blood mucus in her stools, and my catty has become more active. Her coat is getting better and it stopped falling off, like it did during colitis. The convenient form spares owner’s time, nerves and strength. Even after a short course the improvement is visible. It’s a noteworthy supplement, and there is also a version for canines!

Pros:

  • handy packaging
  • easy to use
  • beneficial ingredients
  • effective
  • restores the microflora of the digestive system

Cons:

  • Price
