Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula products contain ethically and sustainably sourced Coconut Oil and Tahitian Monoi, infused with Tiare flower petals. These raw, natural ingredients deeply hydrate, repair damage and give hair incredible shine. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Strong Roots Spray is a refreshing scalp spray that strengthens hair at the roots, alleviating tightness & itch, and stimulating the scalp for healthy growth.
As for me, I expect moisture, my hair improvement and maybe even shine boost. But were my expectations met?
About the price
I bought it for $4.47 for 150ml. The price is a miracle, if only it worked so miraculously too!
About the packaging
I liked it. Good quality plastic, handy tube to use regularly. The spray is excellent and works with no hitch.
About the consistency and aroma
The liquid inside is see-through and lathers when I shake the tube.
The aroma is complicated: I can make out monoi oil, mint and coconut notes which don’t go well together.
About the results
I spray it after washing my hair trying to reach my scalp only. After that, I massage it in for a minute and then blow dry my hair or let it dry naturally. Doing this, I can still see some root volume for another couple of days and my hair doesn’t look greasy.
If I spray the product every day, my hair gets dirty quickly and I’m not ready for that.
So, what are the results?
Stronger hair? No.
Reduced hair loss? No, it remained the same.
Root volume? Yes but it isn’t so obvious.
Scalp moisture? I haven’t noticed anything like that.
Shining hair? No, my hair remains the same.
Itching? No.
As for the good I list that my scalp eczema hasn’t become worse.
About ethical aspect
The brand is against animal testing but as far as I know, this very product isn’t vegan-friendly
Overall thoughts
I’m so sure that I’ll never repurchase this product! It just doesn’t work on me! And yeah, the ingredients are questionable. In a word, no, it’s a wasteful product that doesn’t deserve any attention.
