Some time ago I was sure that the main task of any shampoo is just cleansing. I thought that nourishing and moisturizing is something only conditioners, hair masks and similar stuff do. I changed my mind after I’ve ruined my hair with hair colors and hair color removers.
I used to buy drugstore shampoos, but now they do nothing but upset me. Most of them do not improve the look of my hair. On the contrary, they make my hair dull, tangled and wispy. So I opted for budget-friendly professional brands, and not so long ago I managed to purchase the Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure for a very attractive price.
It’s designed for damaged hair. I have to mention that this shampoo can also be used without any conditioner (unlike its cheap fellows).
There were so many silicones in the ingredients and when I saw them I realized that I would have to wash my hair more frequently but at least I didn’t have to sacrifice the quality of my mane.
Appearance:
The shampoo comes housed in a nice white bottle with a red cap.
It goes open effortlessly and closes tightly. When the time comes, the bottle can be stored upside down.
There are no ads or high-sounding promises on the bottle.
Main features:
There is nothing special about the formula: it’s not too thick, white and with a typical shampoo aroma. It lathers great.
My thoughts and the effect:
I’m happy with everything about this shampoo! I like the way it treats my hair and how gentle it is. It makes my hair soft and detangled, like a hair conditioner. Thanks to it, they are easy to comb through. It does not require a hair conditioner, but I’d recommend to use a leave-in-treatment still, for a better look. My thin volumeless hair becomes better-looking and thicker.
There is one downside, though: my hair becomes greasy faster. The next day, my hair roots look far from clean and must be washed. But one has to choose between harsh shampoos which are harmful yet provide deep cleansing, and soft shampoos that take care of the hair and mend damages.
