I received this palette as a gift from CultBeauty website, which is so nice, as I’m obsessed with highlighters.
ABH has different options of their Glow Kit palette. This one has warm and summer-like tones that are perfect for tanned skin tone.
The finish is stated as metallic.
The packaging is made of sturdy paper with some shimmer on it and has a magnetic fastening. The pans are magnetized, which is a huge plus for me, because I can pop my favorite shade out and put it in a separate package for convenience sake.
I wouldn’t call this palette lightweight. The reason for that is probably its magnetic bottom.
Also, a mirror is not included, which can be both an advantage and disadvantage.
As I’ve already mentioned, the color selection is summer-like.
Bronzed is the darkest shade out there, so it doesn’t compliment my fair skin as a highlighter at all. However, I appreciate such brown-bronzed hues in eye makeup, because they make my eyes look brighter. So this color is wearable anyway.
Tourmaline is gray-brown with a hint of lilac. This is a pass for me both as a highlighter and as an eyeshadow.
Summer is a sandy-gold highlighter. The shade is a tad too yellow-ish against very fair skin, but it’s perfect for a slightly tanned skin tone.
Moonstone: This shade is one of the most multitasking in my book. It’s a glowy pearly-pink that is awesome both against fair and tanned skin types.
All highlighters have the most enjoyable texture, high pigmentation and little glistening particles.
Nevertheless I won’t call this palette a must-have, as the the shades are not for everyone’s skin.
If I purchased it myself, I probably wouldn’t be so happy about it. But I got it for free, so I’m just glad that I happened to try it out.
