For a very long time I was looking at TheBalm cosmetics, then I saw this Autobalm California face palette. I liked the color selection there - all the shades were truly mine. The palette itself is made of a thick cardboard material. Every detail is safely glued, nothing cracks or sticks out. It closes with a magnet latch, which is good and strong to keep the palette closed.
The palette comes with a peachy-pink blush, pink highlighter (color-wise it reminds me of the Cindy-Lou Manizer), matte light-brown and dark brown eyeshadows. The dark shade has golden shimmering glitter to it. All the products apply well, they are fuss-free during blending and they stay on very well. It’s such perfection for traveling when I don’t have to grab a lot and pick up only this palette which has enough for daytime as well as evening makeup. The most important thing is to put on the accents right.
The swatches without a primer by daylight:
The glistening particles are rather chunky, though the eyeshadow still looks beautiful if I blend it out well. Those particles fall out but there aren’t so many of them. I just wipe them off with a fan brush if I want my makeup to be matte.
The palette is fantastic, versatile and really handy. I’m delighted with my buy and definitely recommend it for purchasing!
Well, now I’m thinking about buying the second palette which is called Hawaii. As soon as I have a chance, I’ll buy that one as well!
