I love this highlighter.
It’s one of the most famous highlighters in the world and it’s not surprising because it’s ideal in all respects and approved by so many beauties all around the globe.
Let me begin with the design. It’s wonderful. It’s so bright and eye-catching.
In the packaging there is a round jar, which is as bright as the box.
A mirror is included, that’s definitely a plus.
On the bottom you can find the list of ingredients.
Weight: 8,5 g. I think that’s a lot, considering that a little bit goes a long way.
Price: about $23
It’s a pressed powder. By artificial light it looks unnaturally dark. The next photo shows what it looks like in real life
I love this highlighter because of the shade. I’m a big fan of champagne with warm golden undertones. Pink and white highlighters don’t go with my complexion.
Here is a little comparison with mineral eyeshadows.
There is something common about them, but Mary Lou looks more natural and noble.
I apply the highlighter with a brush. I think I don’t need to teach you how to do that:)
When applied onto creamy face products, the highlighter looks more visible. But if you apply it onto a powder, the result will be natural.
I almost ran out of this highlighter, but the next box is just around the corner.
The highlighter has a very pleasant silky texture and fine grinding. Easy to pick up with a brush.
In terms of pigmentation, it’s rather medium. I don’t mean that it’s lowly pigmented, but I can’t say that it gives a super radiant glow. Personally I’m happy with this effect, especially in summer, when my skin is tanned.
Anyway, it depends on how you apply the highlighter. You can apply multiple layers and make it glow or you can just simply touch your face with the brush and create a gentle barely visible glow.
I also use this highlighter as eyeshadow. I apply it on my eyelid and under the eyebrows. I love the effect and the quality is superb too. The highlighter doesn’t settle into creases or slide off.
It makes my skin look healthy and refreshed.
I love all these glowing products, and I can’t give up them up. So yes, yes and one more time yes! Try Mary Lou!
