I was anxiously waiting for reviews of this product but there hadn’t been any. Some time later, some appeared but they were too controversial and the promo was so tempting that I couldn’t help but buy it.
The product is said to be a “flawless filter”, which is:
1. a makeup primer;
only with the primer on, no moisturizer
2. a liquid highlighter;
as a highlighter on top of other products
as a highlighter on top of other products
3. glowing foundation mixer;
mixed with my foundation

the product is called "filter" for a reason because it does appear perfect in the photos
4. lightweight foundation.

It’s a real filter because it makes my complexion perfected and more beautiful.

Let’s find everything out!
If I use it as a makeup primer, then I can see that my foundation applies more smoothly and gliding. My skin is so glowing when I use it underneath my foundation! Even when I wear the classy heavy Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.
And it all might have been perfect if only my makeup could stay on over this product at least for some time! And a powder doesn’t seem to be much of a help. Moreover, the primer makes my foundation move, even if I wear a self-setting foundation, it’ll still budge within an hour.
If I use it as a liquid highlighter, my skin looks glowing from within with a dewy shine that is so beautiful. I guess it’s fine for aging skin but over oily skin, it looks like a sweaty face.
If I use it as a foundation mixer, the same happens as when I wear it as a primer.
If I use it alone as a lightweight foundation, my skin looks too dewy. The coverage is thin and a tad smoother. THIS LOOKS GORGEOUS OVER AGING SKIN! I’ve tested it out on my mom. Her skin was glowing with health! She didn’t even have to use a foundation over it. I was raving about the result and quickly presented this product to her, because this filter is a disaster for my mixed and more oily skin type.
If only it could stay over my aging skin too, I’d have been praising it forever. But it does vanish and very quickly.
It fades evenly and there’s nothing to blame my mother for, even though she does love touching her face.
It’s a failure, Charlotte, at least this time!
Overall:
- this product makes my foundation movable and less lasting;
- my skin gets oily with it quicker (let alone the fact that it doesn’t suit oily skin type at all);
- the dewy finish looks advantageous only over aging skin type (it appears more or less bearable there but if I apply it over oily skin, it looks pathetic);
- it’s a nice option for aging skin but be sure to face the staying power issues.
I feel sorry for the wasted money.
the shade #3 is a tad dark over me, even though my skin isn't fair
P.S. The product is camera-friendly.
Perfection for a photoshoot!
