Recently I’ve decided to try e.l.f powder, because I was hooked by the price, which is only $2.
I couldn’t believe it, but decided to buy it still. I thought that if the product turned out to be bad, I won’t be sorry for the money I spent on it.
From the manufacturer:
Erase fine lines and have a shine free complexion every day! The translucent powder in this compact is great for setting foundation or a quick midday touch up. Enjoy a refined, smooth finish with every use.
In the packaging it looks the following way:
On the back you can find the product information:
Ingredients:
Talc, Silica, Mica, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Magnesium Stearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Nylon-12, Dimethicone, Retinyl Palmitate (Va), Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)
Let’s take the product out of the paper packaging:
The powder is very compact and travel-friendly. You can take it everywhere with you or keep it in your makeup bag. It won’t take up much room. Moreover, it’s very lightweight, as it weighs only 5 g. This is the most compact powder I’ve ever had
I have it in light/medium shade, which looks lighter in reality than in the picture. I can’t say that the shade suits my skin tone perfectly, but there were no testers in the store, so I couldn’t check it.
The product has a nice soft texture:
Actually I use it rarely in my makeup, but I have it just in case Normally I use it to prolong the staying power of my makeup or make my skin look more matte. As for that, it performs really well, but I won’t call it a long-lasting product.
It’s fragrance-free and I don’t feel it on my face. Moreover, it doesn’t look mask like on my face.
So, it’s a great half-transparent powder for me. I won’t call it a must have, but I’m glad I purchased it, because it’s an inexpensive powder that performs well.
Unfortunately, I can’t give it 5 stars, but the product is definitely good. Recommended!
