Hello there!

Last Valentine's Day, there were great discounts and I managed to treat myself with this very powder.

Why did I choose the Matissime Velvet range?

Once, I suddenly ran out of both foundation and face powder and started looking for new ones by reading reviews and watching beauty videos. Back then, everybody was head over heels with the foundation from this line, but nobody mentioned the face powder. Finally I just tried them both out and came to the conclusion that I desperately needed them. Laughing out loud

The packaging:

The design of the cardboard box is stylishly made in black, with information on the sides.

On the packaging was the description in many languages. Very practical, in case I forget how to use this.

The powder box is pretty long, but just fits in my full cosmetic bag. It’s nice to hold it in my hands. On the upper lid, there is the famous brand logo. On the backside one can find the main information and directions of use.

The box opens by pressing on the square, which is right in the middle. The box closes with a loud click. It won’t open by itself, it’s just out of question.

At the first opening, I was very pleased with the giant mirror. The lid with it opens 120 degrees, by the way. The box itself contains the powder and the sponge.

The sponge is terrible.

It’s light beige and elastic, and awful. It absorbs too much product and spreads it unevenly on my face. I do not feel like spending a lot of time on the application, so I use a brush from another powder, namely from Chanel Les Beiges. It doesn’t make the powder crumble.

The powder:

The box contains 9 grams of the super-pressed powder. There was a protective film over the powder, which is a definite plus. The powder is absolutely matte without any shimmer. It is finely ground and thus feels super velvety.

I chose the 03 Mat Pear shade for me. It is clearly not suitable for the Snow White skin types. I think this is better for ladies with yellowish undertones.

The aroma:

The fragrance is pleasant, but I'm not really into scented cosmetic products. That's why I'm glad it disappears quickly.

The effect:

The coverage makes me happy with the product more than ever. My skin looks naturally smooth and poreless. What else is needed? - Of course, the mattifying aspect. The finish is cool, there is no sign of shine on my face.

Despite the matte effect, my skin glows. The powder won’t cover serious skin imperfections. For dry skin, too, the powder is not suitable because it emphasizes all the flaking. My skin is combination and I have to moisturize dry spots on my nose before applying this powder.

Thanks to this powder, my skin remains matte for a really long time. I use the powder along with the foundation from this series as well. And only after 8-9 hours the makeup must be refreshed. My face does not darken over time.

The whole makeup:

Conclusion:

I am very satisfied with the purchase. It was really worth it. I’ll buy it again, unless a better powder enters my life. I like that the product does what it claims. The powder is truly velvety plus it protects my skin from the harmful sun rays.
