It’s been a long time since I last used lightweight foundations. In fact I usually use thick products with dense coverage, as my skin is prone to getting dry. As a rule, my skin type loves it.
The thinner the coverage is, the more dry patches are visible.
However, this foundation behaves completely different on my skin. The consistency is half-fluid yet not watery. It doesn’t have sheer coverage, but my skin doesn’t look made up. So, it evens out my complexion perfectly without emphasizing any of my imperfections.
It applies with a sponge or a brush effortlessly and distributes on my skin really well without further oxidizing.
I have the Very Light shade that seems quite neutral to me. It doesn’t have any hint of pink or yellow.
It wears with a finishing powder really well, about 8-10 hours.
If I don’t set it with a powder, it may crease in the fine lines around my mouth, around my nose and in the area between my eyebrows. So, it doesn’t actually smooth out any wrinkles or imperfections as the manufacturer stated. These claims make me smile really.
I think that this foundation will look better in warm weather on me. Nevertheless, it’s OK for winter too, because my skin doesn’t want anything heavier now.
The product smells potently like a violet and I don’t really like it. I can’t stand such a smell
I noticed that luxury brands love adding fragrances to their products.
In general, I’m glad I purchased this option for my dry skin, although the sales assistant recommended I try the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear.
It comes with 30 ml, which goes really far for me. I need just 3 pea-size drops to cover my entire face.
Also, the foundation has SPF 20, which is especially good for summer.
I don’t like using it on the go, because I should always place it vertically. Otherwise, it literally flows out of the tube.
