MAC pigments in Vanilla and Naked shades are very popular ones. I chose Vanilla on purpose as it’s different from Naked. Vanilla is a more noticeable creamy shade, which can become a golden pink in particular lights.
Pigment is a highly concentrated loose colour powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to the skin. Create a subtle wash of colour or an intense effect. Does not streak or cake. Easy to blend and long-lasting. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight, not volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the product.
I absolutely love this product, I use it almost everyday. It refreshes my face and the total look, it makes my skin glow and look healthy. 4,5 g not for a professional or makeup artist is definitely an endless amount, so the product is highly economical. I can compare it with dry loose eyeshadows, the color is duochrome from a creamy golden to a pinky gold.
How I use it:
- under the eyebrows, to the inner corners and the middle of the eyelid.
It makes my eyes more defined and beautiful. It looks gorgeous under the eyebrows, as it lifts them visually.
I apply it to the highest areas - cheekbones, cupid's bow and a bit under my lower lip. I tried to apply it to the bridge of my nose, but didn’t like it as in the sun light the golden shimmer is perfectly seen which doesn’t look good. These small tricks make my face more defined and the skin looks healthy and full of light.
The manufacturer says that it’s possible to use the pigments on the lips. Personally I don’t like this effect with Vanilla pigment as it makes my lips look muddy.
- as a primer for eye pencil.
The base for clean and neat look when using eye pencil is a good pigment. MAC Vanilla is just perfect for it. Eye pencils, eyeshadows - anything will blend easily and beautiful with this pigment.
Another interesting way to apply it is on the decollete area. Just mix some pigment with body cream and you’ll get a glowing lotion which will make your skin beautiful.
The Vanilla pigment is a must have for all girls who love to look fresh and who love themselves. I don't even know if there is a dupe for it. There are many highlighters but this shade is just perfect.
