The review is about two nude lipsticks. I’m a big sucker for nudes, ‘cause I have tons of them and keep purchasing these over and over again.
In fact, nude lipsticks don’t make my everyday makeup look boring. The shades could vary from dark to light with warm or cold undertones making your makeup look different every day.
Two shades I’ll be talking about are Maybelline Color Sensational № 725 Tantalizing taupe, which is my favorite and № 732 Brazen beige, a worse choice.
To begin with, I’ll say something about the lipsticks in general.
Packaging. They come in pretty tubes with sturdy plastic caps, which open and close easily by clicking shut.
The bullets are silver.
The texture is soft, creamy and a teeny bit oily. I’m so excited about my lips being so moisturized with these lippies.
They smell like vanilla, very sweet. The scent is similar to all the shades in a range.
The wear time is good enough. The products last 5 hours if you don’t have meals. Additionally, they fade gradually and come off evenly without transferring.
Swathes
Enough said about the general features of the lipsticks.
Every girl that has two or more shades from the color range knows that the quality depends on the shade. That is the case here, too.
Shade: 725 Tantalizing taupe
It’s my favorite shade, which is very easy to use.
You can apply it on the go easy-breezy without even looking in a mirror. Moreover, it applies evenly.
The shade is versatile indeed and may suit every skin type. The reason is that the shade is half-transparent. No matter how much coats you apply, it always has a slight creamy texture that doesn’t cover up the natural color of your lips, but compliments it.
As a result the payoff is singular for every girl and suitable for your everyday look.
Shade: № 732 Brazen beige
It is a caramel shade that whitens my lips a little bit. The shade is not for everyone’s liking.
The swatch looks absolutely gorgeous imparting a slight pearl gloss.
The shade is so hard to use, as it leaves streaks and applies unevenly.
There is no chance to coat your lips neatly and evenly just like that. One or another option is only possible.
It feels like I’m a real “tamer” of such lipsticks once I get the hang of it. The color payoff is quite decent with a little bit of work.
Both shades in one picture:
To sum up, I’ll say that I’m really excited about the purchase, even about this challenging Brazen Beige shade, which I could manage to “tame.” I guess I’ll buy some more shades from the Color Sensational range, because there are so many of them I’d like to try.
Thanks for reading my review!
