Hello people! Smile

I love different beauty boxes because this way I can try out makeup from unusual brands.

This is what the brand Peek Beauty has become for me thanks to the Ipsy box. Honestly, the brand didn’t ring a bell, so I googled it.

The idea is to enhance your inner beauty rather than just cover up imperfections. The products are available in fresh, eye-catching colors that radiate healthy luminosity. As for me, I guess I could hardly feel beautiful if I were to follow their ideas because I need high coverage but still, it does sound interesting. And besides, they also claim their makeup is free from any harmful ingredients. They also have a list with components on the site their makeup is free from.

The packaging of the products is just like of my blush - small metallic casing with a moving top cap.

Name: METALIMATTE - NATURALLY QUICK DRYING BLUSH.

Shade: A-Boo. It’s given on the casing.

The ingredients aren’t listed here because I think they didn’t have enough space for it but you can find it on their website:

Weight: only 1.5g

It’s not a deluxe sample. It’s the full size, the price of which is $18.50, just think of it!

I’m glad that I bought it cheaper as a part of a beauty box…

As you can see from the product, I love it! That’s true!

The texture is pleasant to the touch, I pick it up with my finger and then apply and blend it out. It’s awesome in blending and it doesn’t set immediately, so I always have some time to work with it or touch-up.

The shade is gorgeous. Peach with a golden infusion. Sometimes it even feels like it shifts to pink.

I can pack it and get a more intense pink payoff to diminish the pink undertone more. Or one can also blend it out for a more visible golden finish.

The blush doesn’t break my foundation coverage and in general, I have no problems with it. The blending is fuss-free over any product underneath. I can even wear it on top of my powders. (However, I still haven’t tried to wear it over a good layer of powder, only over the veiling powder finish).

The gold flecks are visible right from the packaging under the sunlight.

It’s problematic to take pictures of this blush in the sun. I mean it shines and my camera can’t translate all those flecks.

In the photo on the right, I have 2-3 layers of the blush blended as much as possible yet still not for the invisible color payoff at all.

Another angle reveals the pink pigment.

It’s also almost impossible to catch the blush on my face. Do you remember the brand’s idea? Radiate healthy luminosity. That’s exactly what I get! From different angles, it seems as though I applied a highlighter, while the main shade is undetectable. Smile I tried my best to show that finish to you through the pictures. Smile:)Smile

I applied a good layer of it so as it has a visible finish. In life, I prefer a more moderate color. Smile

If I take a picture in the sun, I see only the glow.

And here I have the same blush but the pic was taken by another window and the shade is different, a very pink payoff.

Here I have the blushing glow:

I don’t wear any highlighter or luminizer, only a mattifying foundation, contouring powder, and the blush.

Wear time… In my case, that’s another story to tell. I mean my skin is oily, especially in the summer. Plus, I have a bad habit of touching my face with my hands, particularly when sitting in front of my computer. So, cream products have very little chance to hold on me. And this blush too. It doesn’t fade till midday. When it’s very hot, it naturally smudges. I’ve gotten used to that and don’t blame makeup. That’s my skin and I don’t think I can do anything about it.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I think this product is unique only because of its packaging.

I can’t say that the color is patented. Looking through the swatches, it started to remind me of the Nars Orgasm shade. But still, I love this blush. It has a natural, beautiful and interesting finish. And it even works for two - a blusher and a highlighter.

The only gripe for me is the price tag which I think is pretty high.
