Hello beautiful girls!
I have to confess that a concealer is probably one of my least favorite products. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t have any concealers in my beauty stash at all or that I don’t use them frequently. I do really use them and I use them a lot! So, I’ll tell you about one of the products today - Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer.
The design and package all scream “this is the Tarte brand”. The concealer retails in a small purple box, while the tube itself is pretty small and is made of a soft plastic material. It has a very cute wooden cap.
Size - 8g
Made in the USA
Expires within 12 months after opening.
The Tarte brand is animal cruelty-free.
The list of ingredients:
The concealer has a thick and I’d say runny consistency. The coverage and pigmentation are on fleek! I need the tiniest bit of the formula to conceal my under eye woes. Be careful and try to apply a little bit of it, because if you overdo, your skin won’t look good or beautiful anymore.
Your fingertips are the best tools to apply this concealer with a dabbing motions. You see, your fingers are warm and they make the consistency more pliant and easier to blend out.
The product conceals everything, I guess I’ve already mentioned that. It leaves a dewy, a tad sticky and glossy finish behind. I can’t say that it sets or anything, this is why a powder is essential here.
If you have dry, dehydrated or aging skin, then you’ll be obsessed with this concealer for sure. I wouldn’t say that it gives a bomb of moisture to my skin, no. But it always feels so comfortable on my under eye area, that it feels as though it’s not actually a concealer there, but a good under eye skin care cream.
It doesn’t show flakey skin or dry patches. It can crease, though. But only if you apply too much or don’t set it with a powder.
The Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer can actually already boast with a good color selection in the collection. I have one of the fairest shades, which is called Fair.
It’s a good color for fair-skinned gals and it has pink undertones.
My skin isn’t very fair, this is why I was a little bit surprised and afraid when I first saw its color. But it isn’t an issue for me anymore. The concealer applies with such a thin layer, that it’s almost seamless on the skin. There’s no detectable difference on my face at all.
This is how my nude skin looks like.
I applied some foundation, filled in my brows, applied a little bit of this concealer, paying special attention to the inner corners of my eyes. Then I blended it out with my fingers.
After that I set it with powder from the
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and do my eye makeup. In the end my makeup looks like this:
And my total look:
All in all I liked this
Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. It has good coverage, it goes a long way and it offers massive staying power, as long as I set it with powder of course. But still, its texture is too thick for me and of course I don’t need such coverage on a daily basis. So, I can recommend this concealer to you if you have dry skin, or if you are a thick coverage junkie. It won’t show any dry skin at all, but be ready to face a shitty wear time from it.
