Even though Clinique has been around for many years, I haven’t gotten their products until recently. Actually, I wouldn’t have bought any creams at all, if there wasn’t a huge discount. Why? Because I think that their products are a bit overpriced.

After two hours of hanging around in the cosmetic shop, I decided to give those lilac and olive jars a try. I didn’t know what combination of products I should choose. There was one small snag: since I hadn’t used them before, I wasn’t sure that these products would match my skin, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure that I should waste such a big amount of money.

So in the end I purchased a kit which included a few mini-versions of makeup remover, mascara, eye cream and cosmetic bag.

Actually, the cream presents itself as a treatment against puffs and dark under eye circles. But I thought that it would provide moisture to my skin as well. Plus, it matches any age and skin type.Product description:

This lightweight eye cream diminishes the appearance of puffs, undereye circles. Non-creep, cream/gel formula actually helps hold eye makeup in place. Ophthalmologist tested.

Ingredients:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Water, Isostearyl Palmitate, Polyethylene, Butylene Glycol, Polysilicone-11, Ethylene/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Morus Bombycis (Mulberry) Root Extract, Caffeine, Phytosphingosine, Triticum Vulgar (Wheat Bran) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Cholesterol, Linoleic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Pyridoxine Dipalmitate, Sucrose, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Glyceryl Laurate, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Quaternium-18 Bentonite, Petrolatum, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Propylene Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, PEG-8, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Sulfite, Sodium Metabisulfite, Iron Oxides

The cream has a lightweight formula. No wonder, it’s the cream for the eye area, not for hands or body.

My impressions:

At first, it was like applying a miracle elixir. It was making my skin fabulously smooth and soft! Well, maybe it’s an overstatement, but only with this cream I understood the meaning of silky skin.Besides, it left no oily film. On the contrary, the cream absorbed within a few seconds. Now about the effect: unfortunately, the Clinique All about Eyes cream didn't fight dark circles. Neither did it give moisture.

Take a look at this photo:

Here you can see the consequences of hard water and frosty weather. Okay, I’ve applied the cream and everything seems to be normal, but in 5 minutes, the flaky skin is visible again.

Allergies:

Guys! It’s the very first time I’m allergic to cosmetics! Since my skincare routine consists of Clinique now, there’s nothing else to blame. I used this eye cream in combination with a makeup remover. I’m sure the makeup remover cannot cause such an irritation, but the cream could!

Well, there was no choice left but to throw it away.

Conclusion: be careful, this cream can cause an allergic reaction after a while. Besides, I wasn’t impressed with its nourishing properties. Definitely not recommended!
