The Guerlain SOS balm appeared in the Guerlain skincare collection two years ago. That was the first time I bought it.
The product is compact, 15ml which is also travel-friendly. The tube is of a soft plastic material with a screw-on top. The only gripe about the packaging is that it always slips out of my hands.
The balm is thick, long-lasting and easy to distribute over my skin. There’s no potent smell. The formula is fragranced with the violet aroma as many other products from the brand. It won’t irritate you even if you have a sensitive nose.
I apply it over my clean skin after a lotion paying special attention to the dry patches on my skin. The balm is rather thick, so it needs some time to soak. It doesn’t require packing.
It restores my chapped face skin, lips and hands very well.
It can be used for the body as well.
I used it when:
🔹my skin was crusting
🔹as my skin cutaneous barrier when it is frosty and windy outside
🔹while traveling high up in the mountains
🔹as an additional product if dermatitis or any other allergic reactions appeared.
SOS Cream from Guerlain is infused with a healing ingredient called SQUALANE.
When I caught a cold and my nose was running, I was suffering a lot from dry and red skin around there. I was using this balm for a few days to soothe it. But even after the first application my skin was better and relieved from the discomforting sensation.
If used regularly, this product restores skin as well as heals minor wounds and cuts.
It doesn’t tingle even if I apply over my damaged skin. No irritation or something. I also appreciate its soothing properties.
The ingredients also have the Shea butter listed. As well as SODIUM HYALURONATE.
I’ve already used up several tubes of it.
One tube is usually enough for a couple of months. Over time, the formula doesn’t dry down or change its smell.
