Did it ever happen that you tried some product out of curiosity, but it turned out to be your holy grail? In other words, did it ever happen that you purchased something on a whim without any high hopes but solely because you longed to test it for quite a while, but it turned out to be an awesome buy and since then you reach for this product daily?
This is exactly what happened to me. I love Lancome products and here is one of the recent additions to my makeup bag:

Price point: $40 for 200 ml
I bought a sample with 50 ml in a set with the famous Bi-Facial Cleanser.
The shelf life was indicated on the box in my case, but you can check any Lancome product with a specific code that is given on each package.
Keep in mind that the this cleanser expires within 12 months after opening.
But I assure you, you’ll use it up long before the date even if you pick up the bottle with 200 ml.

PACKAGING AND DESIGN
Once again… I purchased a mini-size cleanser, so the tube differs from the the original bottle quite a lot. The tube I have is small and has a flip top and a medium-size nozzle.
The package is made of soft plastic, so the use is very convenient.
Speaking about the original bottle, it comes with a pump dispenser.

As for the design, the colors are very reminiscent of the acacia honey that is actually stated in the ingredients. The hue is very pretty.
Also, it has a logo of the brand that is typical for all Lancome products.

CLAIMS
What it is:
Miel-en-Mousse Foaming Cleansing Makeup Remover is a transformative 2-in-1 cleanser and rinse-off face wash containing acacia honey encapsulated in water.
What it does:
Upon application of this facial cleanser, the honey-like texture melts to dissolve makeup and impurities. Once emulsified with water, it transforms into a velvety mousse to remove any remaining residues. Miel-en-Mousse leaves skin feeling cleansed and soft.
CONSISTENCY AND SMELL
Judging by the name, I thought that the product would be stringy and malleable. But I was surprised at this point.
When I first bought this cleanser in January, it was pretty cold outside and the texture was really thick and gel-like. However, it seems that texture bleeds now, when it’s summer…
It’s pretty liquid and requires some time to get the hang of it so as not to miss a drop. I worked pretty quickly even when I was taking the pictures for this review.

When spreading it out it reminds me of a lightweight cream with a little foam.

Speaking about the smell, it’s pretty weird.
On the one hand, it’s enjoyable, but on the other hand, I can feel some musty notes.
Yes, it definitely smells like honey a little bit. Plus, there is something floral and sweet to it. I’m not much into this smell, but it doesn’t linger on my skin long, which is a plus.
USE
For me, cleansers and cleansing foams belong to the second step of my skin care routine after a micellar water. This time, however, I decided to check this product both ways.
The suggested use:
1. Apply 2 to 3 pumps of the honey-like texture onto fingertips. Slide hand across applicator to keep it clean from texture filaments.
2. Apply to dry skin, gently massaging the entire face. The texture will slightly warm upon massage.
3. Add lukewarm water: the honey-like texture will transform into a velvety foam for a perfect cleanse.
4. Rinse off generously while keeping your eyes closed.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly.
Miel-en-Mousse dissolves makeup and cleanses face leaving a comfortable feeling. Use in the morning and/or at night.
To remove eye makeup, use Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover prior to Miel-en-Mousse and complete your regimen with a toner.
Yep, you heard it right. It has to be applied to dry skin. So put aside all your foaming nets, sponges, etc.
The tacky texture of the cleanser somewhat ‘sticks’ to my skin. Each stroke makes it ‘stick’ even tighter. So the honey consistency turns into something like a cream or a weightless foam.
The application is fuss-free as opposed to, for instance, the Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian. The feel is very comfortable and even enjoyable. It doesn’t feel like a mess on my face.

I’m not into waterproof makeup, but I love drawing lines and applying a few coats of mascara.
Nevertheless, the cleanser performs really well here. It doesn’t require much effort to remove makeup, so a few slight strokes will be enough.
Below I showed you vividly the pictures of how it works.
Here, I used the Catrice Liquid Eyeliner, Clarins Mascara, Clarins Crayon Levres Lip Liner, Clarins Eyebrow Pencil, Clarins Lipstick and Maybelline Liquid Matte Lipstick.
In the first picture you can see the makeup applied a moment ago. In the second picture I added a small amount of foaming cleanser and spread it out on my skin. In the third picture I started massaging my skin without adding any water.
As far as you can see, almost all products except the mascara, eyeliner and the long-wearing lip liner dissolved.

Adding a little bit of water helps change the situation for the better.
After I removed the residue under the streaming water, my skin became absolutely clean! The makeup was gone in literally a few seconds.
LANCÔME Miel-En-Mousse Foaming Cleansing Makeup Remover with Acacia Honey
This is the first product I use that performs equally well on my hand with even skin and on my face that requires some more effort.
The Miel En Mousse from Lancome does a really good job. It can be used both as a standalone makeup remover and as an auxiliary product that helps take off the residue in the second step.
By the way, it comes with the Bi-Facial cleanser for a reason. They work perfectly together.
The foaming cleanser removes this oily film that leaves the Bi-Facial cleanser very well. By the way, the product doesn’t dry out my skin. My skin doesn’t feel taut after washing and I don’t reach for a moisturizing cream ASAP.
After washing my skin feels soft and smooth. On the minus side, it doesn’t go far due to its liquid texture. It’s probably better with a pump, but for now I have to control the amount of the product it gives myself.
MY VERDICT
The Miel En Mousse from Lancome surprised me positively.
It has become one of my holy grail products that I will undoubtedly repurchase. It cleanses my skin from impurities and makeup very well and doesn’t require much effort. The process is pretty quick and fuss-free.
