I got a deluxe sample of the Sand&SKY Pink Clay mask from an advent calendar. The full size of it costs $50 for 60ml which is rather a splurge. So, I naturally opted for another mask, hoping it would be a hit.

A detoxifying face mask.

The Pink Clay Detoxifying mask draws out impurities from congested pores and absorbs oil to encourage a healthier looking complexion. Formulated with Seaweed extract and Witch Hazel to help moisturise and soothe problematic areas.

  • Cruelty-free

  • Vegan

About the price

$10.50 for 50ml. That’s not actually so affordable for a clay mask.

About the packaging

The mask arrived unsealed,

Inside it had a glass jar with a plastic inner liner.

I don’t have any negative things to say about the jar, except the glass it’s made of. I mean, after all, this is a product we usually store in a bathroom. One can easily drop and smash it.

The nozzle is convenient. I don’t have to invent anything to take it out and apply on my skin.

About the consistency and aroma

The mask is very thick. It reminds me of whipped cream.

It applies on my skin with thin coverage. And it’s always better for the skin if you apply it thinner. It doesn’t take much time to dry down. But, don’t forget to mist it.

The smell is subtle and cosmetic. I don’t give it much of a heck.

Aqua/Water/Eau, Kaolin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Bentonite, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum/Fragrance, Citric Acid, 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Montmorillonite, Illite, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, CI 77491 (Iron Oxides)

About the results

When I apply it, I can feel how it tingles my skin a little. It’s not the mask from Sand&SKY. I mean that tingling calms down within a minute. No more discomforting feelings. It washes off well, very well for a clay mask.

It’s definitely working but I can’t say that I can see any impressive results. You’ll have to apply it several times a week so as to cleanse your congested pores. It’s summer now and it doesn’t dry out my skin, even though it’s mixed, from dry to normal types.

I can see that it does something about my pores. The results are like from any other clay mask. If you use it regularly, your pores appear smoother.

About the ethical aspect

The brand is vegan-friendly and doesn’t test on animals

Overall thoughts

The mask isn’t bad. It’s really worth the price it costs. But I know that there are better masks in the market.

Probably, if your skin is less problematic than mine, you’ll get enough from it.

As for me, I want more standing out and super results from it.
