Hi everyone who found their way to my review!

Today I’d like to review my favorite brand of natural cosmetics Weleda, namely Weleda Arnica Massage Oil.

I learnt about this product accidentally, when I received 2 samples of it in a set I ordered at an online shop. I didn’t try it for a long time, but one day we used it and fell for it instantaneously. We bought a full-size version in a drugstore then. I’ve decided to write this review when I began using the second bottle.

Full name: Weleda Arnica Massage Oil

Before and after sport or strenuous activity, warm up or slow down with a vigorous arnica oil massage.

The oil is available in 3 options: 50 ml, 100 ml and 200 ml.

A bottle with 100 ml retails for about $22.50.

Country: Germany

The product is dermatologically tested and recommended for extremely sensitive skin and neurodermatitis.

This oil is really legendary, because the brand has been producing their products since 1921 and they are still popular today.

Moreover, many professional sportsmen and therapists trust Weleda products.

Product description

One of Weleda’s signature products, Arnica Massage Oil is the essence of nourishing plant-based effective action. Plant oils from sunflower and olive are blended with extracts from arnica flowers and birch leaves to help skin feel smoother and help improve the feel of elasticity and firmness. Prepare your body for sports with a massage that relaxes muscles after vigorous activity with the stimulating scent of lavender and rosemary essential oils. You’ll appreciate the benefits whether you’ve had a tough work-out or a tough day at the office. An invaluable recovery tool for any active person.

The oil is free from mineral oils, synthetic preservative, fragrances and colourants. It’s 100% vegan.

The product expires within 6 months after opening.

Ingredients:

Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Parfum, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Betula Alba Leaf Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Coumarin.

The ingredients are really natural!

Packaging

The oil comes in a glass bottle and a paper package. The packaging is orange. Inside you can find a leaflet about this oil and other Weleda oils.

The bottle is made of dark green and very thick glass. It’s ergonomic and nice to hold in my hands.

The new bottle opens with a click, which means that nobody has ever touched it before me. It has a plastic insert with a hole in it inside that doesn’t let you overdo this product.

Color, texture

The oil is dark yellow and reminds me of an olive oil. Well, it’s understandable because it is made of Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil. The oil is liquid and fairly oily.

The product lasts for quite a while, because a tiny amount is enough to moisturize your skin. The first bottle we used lasted for about 5 months with regular use.

Smell

I love the scent. It’s smells herbal, refreshed and a little bit astringent. I can feel the rosemary and lavender. The scent is very noticeable while using and it lingers on my body for about 30 minutes.

Suggested use

Massage muscles before or after sport or strenuous activity with a few drops of the oil, or apply a gentle massage after a bath or shower. Do not apply to broken skin.

We use this oil for the following purposes:

  • For a relaxing evening back massage

  • To moisturize my buttocks and thighs to prevent stretch marks and sagging skin.

  • My husband uses it also for his muscles after workout.

More than that, I’ve read a good deal of reviews from pregnant women, where they said that this oil prevented stretch marks. I think that it can be used this way, because the ingredients are all natural and it contains olive oil, which is a well known product against stretch marks.

RESULTS AND EFFECTS

The oil absorbs quickly enough for an oil. It can be used both for dry and damp skin after a shower. It neither makes my skin tacky nor leaves an unpleasant film on my body. Moreover, it distributes well.

  • I haven’t noticed such a distinct warming effect. However, I’m not much into creams and oils for warming up.

  • My skin is well moisturized and nourished after use.

  • In a month I’ve noticed that my skin became more elastic and firm.

  • The oil tones up my skin and muscles very well.

  • The product relaxes perfectly and the scent along with a good massage pacifies me.

  • Reduces muscles tension after a workout. My husband noticed it.

  • Doesn’t smear the bedding or clothes.

This product is really multipurpose and both women and men will love it. By the way, it can be used for kids too.

As for me, I love the results when it comes to my problem areas. The skin on my thighs is so smooth, nice to the touch and elastic if I use it regularly.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
