Hello everyone!
Recently, my all-time favorite Skullcandy headphones broke down and I had to quickly replace them with something wired.
You know, I love singing Sing By Smule karaoke from time to time. And even though they have featured the wireless headphones connection, it still feels weird when you’re singing and can hear music but can’t hear your voice.
So, it was impossible to sing into the wireless Skullcandy.
And it was like destiny for me to see these wired Beats at Walmart at a very attractive price.
When I tested them out on the stand, I fell for the sound I heard. Besides, I had some money on my web account which I earn here, so the Beats were welcomed into my collection.
Beats EP on-ear headphones delivers masterfully tuned sound. Its battery-free design offers unlimited playback and its sleek, durable frame is reinforced with lightweight stainless steel. Beats EP is an ideal introduction to Beats for any music lover seeking a dynamic listening experience.
They were packed in the branded red box with a paper cover on top of it.
I don’t know how it used to be before but nowadays the Beats set is rather minimalistic. I mean the box had the headphones, quick start guide, and a foldable carrying pouch.
As for the headphones, they’re made of a lightweight plastic material, yet still very sturdy because of the reinforced steel sliders.
The ear pads are really soft and almost don’t pressure my ears at all, even though they sit rather properly and don’t slide off even while running.
The product is wired with a 3.5mm audio connector.
I can’t say that I’m into the idea of Beats releasing wired headphones. After all, usually all the problems lie exactly in the wire. And earlier it was even possible to replace it, while now, we’ll either have to splurge for repairing or go for a new item.
The 3.5mm connector has nothing to do with the iPhone jack but it fits in my laptop and other standard devices.
For my iPhone, I have to use a jack adapter.
The wire offers a built-in microphone, calls and volume control.
As I’ve already mentioned, the headphones are almost undetectable when I wear them. But my head is small, so I’d recommend testing them before purchasing.
And even though the EP mode doesn’t state sound isolating, it still partly damps sound. I mean, you’ll still hear the noises of the streets, which is more like an advantage for me because I need to hear the noises around me, as I don’t want to be hit by a car or anything.
But the domestic sounds are blocked almost completely. I can’t hear the telly, my kid's shouts while playing Fortnite, etc.
However, when my neighbors start to practice their music, I still can hear them. However, I have to admit that I tolerate those noises much better with Beats on rather than without them.
And finally, the most important thing, the sound.
Usually, the professional as well as technical nerds say that the Beats have awful sound and the only thing we pay our money for is the brand and outer look. The EP mode hasn’t become an exception and I know the opinions when they say that this mode is good only for hip-hop and electro music. The rest will sound terrible.
Well, I’m not a professional and I’m never a musical critic but my ears love the sound of these Beats. The sound is very pure for me everywhere, while listening to pop music as well as Scorpions, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold and others. My hubby is a fan of hard rock and he also assessed the sound here.
Nothing squeaks, croaks or anything else. The sound is nice and pure.
Naturally, I’m a regular listener and I have nothing to compare them with if you’d like to hear about some professional sound. But, for an average user, the sound of Beats is more than just good.
And when I use these headphones for karaoke, I’ve finally found out that I can ACTUALLY SING AND CARRY A TUNE because I hear the sounds very well there.
Overall thoughts:
✅ the sound is nice and pure
✅ stylish design
✅ comfortable to wear
✅ the most affordable price tag among the Beats modes
❌ wired
❌ no adjustable headband
❌ the price tag. After all, it might be too hefty for an average music addict.
In general, I’m very pleased with my purchase and I do really think it was the best way to spend my irecommend.reviews salary.
If you have enough money and you don’t expect too much from it, I can recommend these Beats for purchasing, especially, if you want to meet the iconic Dr. Dre item but don’t want to splurge for more complicated modes.
5 stars and a thumbs up! This babe is worth it.
Thanks for your attention! See ya!
