Hi everyone!
Do we really need leave-in hair treatments, especially oils? I think we do. Such treatments give a final touch to the hair, making it look flawless! Plus, all those ingredients are beneficial for hair.
This review will be about one of such oils, namely the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment.

To address these needs, Macadamia Professional products contain an exclusive Pro Oil Complex, a blend of therapeutic Macadamia Oil and Argan Oil, rich in Omega 7, 5, 3 and 9 fatty acids, which deeply yet weightlessly nourish and repair hair from the inside out, rather than just conditioning from the surface, to renew hair's natural texture.
I received a sample bottle of 10 ml. as a gift for the purchase at their website, and even such a small amount lasts pretty long.
Product description:
Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment is a versatile curative hair oil ideal for all hair textures. Our restorative oil treatment is immediately absorbed into your hair and scalp, infusing moisture, softness, protection, and glow. Exceptionally helpful for hair in need of hydration.
BENEFITS
- Deep nourishment to detangle hair and banish frizz
- Quickly absorbed; staying lightweight and non-greasy
- Formulated to give ultra-smooth, manageable, and shiny hair
- Adds natural UV shield to prolong the life of color treatments
The treatment comes in a dark bottle, which is designed in a typical Macadamia style.
On the bottle one can find all the necessary product information.Ingredients:
Apart from natural oils, the treatment contains a lot of other ingredients, which can hardly be called ‘natural’. But in comparison with other leave-in-treatments, this one is lightweight and less oily.
Texture-wise the treatment is thick, viscous with a sweet fragrance. After a few uses, my nose got used to this scent and it doesn’t seem so rich anymore.
How to use:
Dispense a small amount of oil on the palm of your hands and emulsify for a few seconds. Use on clean, towel dry hair or dry hair. Brush through for even distribution. Let hair dry naturally or blow dry.
The treatment can be used both on dry and towel dry hair. I tried both options, and I liked them equally.
When applied to wet hair, this treatment is easy to spread and hard to overdo. After application the hair must be brushed through. The treatment softens the hair and makes it easier to comb.
Before applying it to dry hair, the treatment must be warmed up between palms. The treatment fights frizz, makes dry hair ends softer and provides an unbelievable glow.
I only need 3-4 drops for my dry hair, and a little bit more for wet hair. I never ended up with greasy hair after this oil! The hair was loose like it used to be, but it became soft, smooth and shiny.
Here is an example of how the treatment works on dry hair. Before and after photo.
I thought I was happy with the result to the left, but with the healing oil treatment, the appearance of my hair is even more flawless, which is especially noticeable on the ends.
The hair has become less frizzy and I’d say, it’s quite an achievement in my case.
My hair ends loved this oil too, just look at their shine.
Last time they were cut was 4 months ago.
Summary:Pros:
- makes hair moisturized, shining and smooth
- economical
- doesn’t make hair heavy or greasy
- provides UV shield
Cons
- A price is a bit too high, but I don’t think I should take off a star because of this.
