Consistency and smell
Upon opening the pot I could feel the nice smell, which is not potent. It’s hard to describe it, but I’ll try. The scent reminds me of something oriental. It is soft and spicy yet fresh.
The mask is so thick, that when you turn it upside down it will be firm in place. The texture is ivory.
How to use
Use after shampooing. Work through damp hair, from roots to tips. Lightly comb through to detangle. Leave the masque on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly. Apply 1-2 times per week as required depending on your hair’s moisture needs and level of damage.
My hair
I have long virgin hair. It is a little bit dry yet not porous. I have to use specific products for my hair due to its length. The scalp is oily, so I have to wash it every other day. In summer I wash it daily.
Use
I’ve been using this mask paired with a shampoo rinsing my hair twice. After washing, I dry out my hair with a towel and remove the excess moisture, because I don’t want to dilute the mask with water.
The first time I’ve applied the mask from root to tips and left it on for 10 minutes as directed. Now I can say that such a use was not for me, as my hair was oily too soon.
Further on I’ve been applying the mask to somewhere near the ear moving downwards. I was applying more of the product to the tips. I was leaving it on for 10 minutes and prepared facial masks meanwhile
The mask absorbs quickly.
While rinsing my hair feels so smooth due to the silicone, but it doesn’t really bother me, because it is hard to use all natural ingredients for such long hair.
I prefer drying my hair out naturally without any blow dryers or hair straighteners. I brush my hair with a specific The Wet Brush and wait till it is dry. It is so easy to brush and comb my hair! The brush literally glides over it!
Hands down, I’m very pleased with the results. My hair is silky smooth and weighty. Love it.
I use the product once a week because of the volume. Also, I want to make it last longer
My verdict: The Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Masque is on fleek! It moisturizes and nourishes my hair. I think that it is even more helpful for dry and color-treated hair. I love the effect of weighty hair, as it seems to be thicker.
Moreover, my hair doesn’t get fluffy which is great for me.
I’m obsessed with the mask and long to try out other products of the brand.
