Spring is finally here and it makes us come out in our skirts and less clothing. Therefore I started mulling over purchasing an epilator. I had been using a Philips epilator for years before buying this one, but I broke it accidentally.
After that I’ve been shaving myself with a razor for about a year, but then I realized that everyday shaving, prickly legs and scratches are not an option for me. So I opted for an epilator!
After comparing plenty of models, I settled on the reputable manufacturer and picked up the Philips BRE635.
Below you can see how the package looks like. By the way, from the package we can define the biggest plus point, at least for me, which is the wet and dry use!
I couldn’t use the previous option while showering.
I doubted about this way of use at first, but tested it myself and now I can definitely say that the wet use is really convenient and less painful. When my skin is damp and steamed, the pain is hardly noticeable!
Inside the package you can find a place for keeping all accessories and caps. Therefore I don't throw it away
The epilator works with batteries, which means that you can epilate everywhere at any time.
So, I’m really happy to have this appliance. Earlier I constantly had issues with the cord. The length was not enough or something. So… the battery works long enough for two legs here.
It has a charge indicator on the handle, which is also very helpful. When it flashes orange, it means the battery drains.
It cannot be used when charging, it just won’t work. It charges fully in about 90 minutes for up to 40 minutes use.
Philips is always on fleek when it comes to the kit!
The appliance comes with a bunch of accessories: the shaver head, skin stretcher attachment that I use for my thighs, facial cap, trimming comb, delicate area cap, storage pouch and charging adaptor with a long cable.
I’m absolutely obsessed with the shaver head. If I need to shave my underarms quickly or trim the hairs in bikini area, this head is of great help. Plus, it comes with a shaver comb for trimming.
The shaver head without a trimming comb
The only cap I haven’t used is a facial cap for the upper lip. I just don’t need it.
Additionally, I don’t use the pouch yet, because I like keeping it in a package now. It doesn’t take up much room and I love it.
The pouch will come in handy when traveling.
This is the epilator without a head. It seems quality made
Now to the main functions of this tool:
It provides two speed modes: a slower and a faster one. It all depends on your personal preference. The tweezers are ceramic, so they do not overheat as opposed to the metallic tweezers. Plus, they break thin hairs less frequently.
The built-in LED helps discern all fine hairs you may miss. The light is very bright, but if you don’t feel like using it, just press the on/off switch for a few seconds!
Here are the ceramic tweezers with the help of which you can epilate larger areas. Plus, the process will be quicker
To top it off, it has a very comfortable grip as compared to the previous models. The epilator fits just perfectly in my hand and has the right angle. It rips out hairs very well, even if they are short.
Moving to the most fascinating bit of my review… My skin is smooth for at least 2 weeks! Even when my hair grows, it’s thin and there is no this disgusting prickly feeling.
Overall, I’m really pleased with this stuff! It has become my holy grail beauty tool!
