There was a need to use an angle grinder for a large area (swimming pool). The job wasn’t difficult - just to cut, sharpen or grind some details. It’s so inconvenient to work with a corded instrument when I have to carry all those extension leads with me. That’s why I decided to buy this cordless angle grinder.
Since the job I had to do wasn’t difficult and currently, such instrument is a real luxury, I had to find a good, though affordable tool.
I opted for the DeWalt DCG406N because this model also includes the DeWALT screwdriver and an empowered 5A battery.
The batteries are interchangeable and suit any chargers from this brand.
The tool turned out to be handy in use - it isn’t heavy, it doesn’t require any cords or anything and it’s convenient to work in those difficult to reach places.
As for the disadvantages, I can list that the model isn’t powerful enough and it won’t cut off thick wall fittings or pipes. Load speed is just 9000, that’s why it’s less efficient than a corded instrument.
In general, I can’t say anything to blame this angle grinder for. It’ll definitely find its niche for use, yet still, it remains too pricey.
I hope that later its price tag will be more affordable.
