Tom Ford brushes really call to me with their elegance and good quality. For a long time I tried to withstand the purchase, given the price tag but eventually gave in. I’m here to share my thoughts on the first Tom Ford brush in my collection.
It’s not a problem to buy this brush from Macy’s or the official Tom Ford website. As for the price, the brush retails at $72 pretax and $76.50 with it.
Like any other high-end product, this brush came packed in a box. The design corresponds to the branded style and the brush. It looks posh and sophisticated.

Inside, it has my little beauty helper packed in a see-through plastic wrapping. I took it off because it didn’t seem well in the pictures. 😊 Also, the brush has another plastic cover that sustains the bristles.

So now, let’s have a look at the brush itself.

The foundation brush is rather compact. It’s a little bit heavier than the Annbeauty brush. The wooden handle is lacquered and feels and lies pleasantly in my hands.

It’s very interesting to mention bristles. The thing is that the brand should have started to release all their brushes of synthetic bristles this year. But mine is natural. Honestly, I’m very happy about that because natural bristle is what I love the best about my brushes.
The brush is gentle and soft on my skin. It is so airy that it even feels like a feather. It’s pure pleasure to touch my skin with it. It doesn’t prickle or irritate my skin. It doesn’t shed or lose its shape which is so neat, by the way.

The feature of this brush is that despite the dense pack, it still remains pliant and soft when I work with it. In fact, it provides me with a nice ratio of softness and resilience. The balance is found.

This Foundation Brush is excellent to apply cream textures, in particular, foundations. With its help, you can easily get either soft and gentle coverage or pack it for a more full coverage finish. It all depends on what you need from it this or that time. I’m usually into more sheer coverage and this brush does it all for me.
I usually apply my foundation with this brush but I also test it out with other cream products - contouring and blush. In fact, I loved this Foundation Brush from Tom Ford that way, especially given the fact I hadn’t washed the brush and applied with the leftovers of the foundation in it. Honestly, I still haven’t assessed it right as a pair with a cream contouring product but still, it happens to exist. Naturally, it’s good for all cream textures but it’s directed purpose is above all. 😊 Though, I must admit that I’m happy this brush is so multi-tasking.

It’s vital to take good care of it and never use alcohol-containing products for cleaning. I prefer liquid professional brush cleaners from Esti and their cleanser wipes too. Also, I love the Conditioning Brush cleanser from Bobbi Brown.
I love the high quality of this brush which can already be proceeded since opening the package. There’s beauty and aesthetics all over it. Also, the product characteristics have never let me down - the good quality natural material never sheds, it doesn’t hurt my skin and present a unique mixture of softness and resilience. Besides, it won’t forget of handy use and simple cleansing.
In fact, I can’t mention any cons except for the price tag… I mean, this isn’t a brush which everyone will go for and I wish this Foundation Brush was a little bit more affordable.
However, the price tag still has some magic to it and even prompts the desire of having it. It’s a unique product that is worth your attention.
