Hello beauties! Smile

A perfect foundation is like a white canvas for our makeup. And it doesn’t even play a role in how gorgeous your eye or lip makeup looks, if your foundation looks crap, you won’t ever look stunning. That’s why I’m on a constant lookout for “that very foundation” which would suit me perfectly well and work wonders with my skin.

So, today I’ll tell you whether the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick has managed to become my Holy Grail or not.

The design of the Tom Ford cosmetics is luxurious, so to speak. Stylish, sophisticated with a hint of a “too expensive” note. The casing is of dark chocolate color, which looks like metal. All the lettering and branded details are golden.

And as beautiful as the casing is, so fast it gets scratched. It’s so frustrating. Two journeys with other cosmetics in my makeup pouch and that’s all, the product already looks like I was playing football with it. It’s so disappointing for such money, Maestro Ford.

Size - 15g.

Made in Canada.

The foundation is actually a stick with a twist up and down mechanism. Such products are the most convenient for me, though the practice says that such casing isn’t practical and don’t go a long way, though.

Texture-wise, the foundation is like play dough, but it melts once it touches my skin and really becomes pliant.

When I apply it over my skin, it feels a little bit fatty but this sensation partly vanishes when I blend the product out. But even after blending, I still feel this product too nourishing and hydrating for me.

I guess that girls with dry or normal skin type will appreciate this formula most of all. For my combo skin, it's too much. Even though the manufacturer states that it flatters all skin types.

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick gives good medium coverage, which can be built up thicker. You can also apply it with the thinnest layer, so vary the coverage as you wish. I like applying it with densely packed spoon-shaped foundation brushes, kind of Cailyn O! Wow Brush.

Fingerprints will make it more difficult to blend out, though the sponge won’t work with this product at all, given that you apply the product right from the stick and want to get medium coverage for your skin. If you want to get thin coverage then it’s better to apply the foundation with a sponge right from the stick.

The product doesn’t accentuate my pores, though it can accentuate flaking a little, later it’ll even it out due to that “fatty” consistency. The foundation shows a glowing finish on my skin and I’d even say a “dewy” finish. Due to that texture and fatty consistency the product feels sticky on my face, hence it doesn’t set. A powder is a must-use here.

There’s an abundance of shades in the collection, from the lightest to the darkest. I have mine in the shade Natural, which has yellow warm undertones and a light tanned effect. When it’s warm, this shade matches my skin well.

Currently, they don’t have the shade #05 in their permanent collection, though they offer the shade Natural with #6.0 now. Swatching both shades in a store I had an impression that there is no difference between the old shade #05 and the new one #6.0.

This is how my skin looks like without any makeup on - enlarged pores, blackheads, uneven skin tone. I apply this foundation right from the stick and then blend it out with a foundation brush. It gives me medium coverage, just what I need. I’ve already mentioned the finish of the product. It’s rather dewy and I have to set it with a powder. And a full look with the Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder.

The staying power is about 8-9 hours. If I don’t set the product with powder, I’ll surely see oily shine over my T-zone within 2-3 hours. If I use a powder, then within 4-5 hours.

The Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick is a contradictory product for me. It’s claimed to be flattering to all skin types, but for my combination/oily skin it feels like it’s too heavy and too glowing.

And the coverage seems to be beautiful, but again, you’ll have to find the right tool to apply it.

Well, I didn’t fall for it. I like the way it looks over my skin, but there are some flaws, which make it really far from being perfect. I’m glad that I tested it and I doubt that I’ll ever repurchase.

Price: $87

Thanks for reading my post. Stay beautiful and have an enjoyable shopping day! Wink
