Let’s talk about the Lip Gloss by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I have it in the color Kristen (I also have one in the color Grape Jelly but it’s just awful in quality and I don’t want to talk about it today).
So, Kristen!
Kristen
It’s mega pigmented! I think it looks more like a glossy liquid lipstick rather than a usual lips gloss!
Very opaque coverage on the first go
Advantages, disadvantages and peculiarities:
the product applies streak-free with an opaque layer.
this is the very color for those who love natural and beigy-brown shades. I take it as a real universal shade.
this product which is so rich in pigment will look great over full lips. If you’re like me and you have thin lips then you’ll need to use a lip liner, otherwise the lip gloss will look as if it was smudged.
With a lip liner
The lip gloss is very shiny. It sparkles on my lips
Staying power! I can’t even find the right words to describe it! In general the lip gloss stays on very well yet it may feather after a meal if you haven’t used a lip liner before.
The product feels tacky- or gooey-free on my lips. But still I can feel it present on my lips. Yet I guess it’s okay since the product is rather thick formula-wise.
Fragrance: it’s pleasant and sweet. No repelling taste to the product!
The brush (applicator) is very convenient as it is flattened. It’s so nice to apply the product with it!
In the end I can say that applying this lip gloss over my lips I really understand that this is a high-end product. I don’t know how to explain it, I just feel it (Though, to keep it fair I have to confess that I don’t suffer the “only-high-end-cosmetics-disease”. It’s not my cup of tea to adore a product because of a beautiful package).
I presume that very soon I’ll replenish my lip products collection with one more lipstick by the brand. This is all because of my love to long-wearing and matte lipsticks. By the way, I deem that this lip gloss doesn’t look its best over my thin lips. But it’s my own and subjective opinion.
I hope that you found my review informative! How do you find this color?
