Hello guys!
If you ask me what my favourite beauty product is, without any further ado I’ll say that it’s a lipstick!
That’s why there are so many lipsticks in my collection. I’m ready to keep buying every usual and unusual lipstick shade that I see. For a long time I was dreaming of a lip palette that will combine all the shades that I like.
And when I saw this very palette on Instagram I knew that I needed to buy it for sure. Before this palette I saw other lip palettes but only by NYX which weren’t actually good in quality. A few months ago I eventually bought this palette and now I’m ready to express my opinion of it to you.
General information:
Official price: $48
Size: 18x0.8g
Expires within 12 months
Animal cruelty free
Manufactured in China
Packaging:
The palette is packed in a standard matte black cardboard box.
At the back of the packaging all the information is given such as the ingredients list, expiration date, manufacturer and so on.
The set with the palette includes: the palette itself, mixing plate and dual-ended lip brush with a spatula. The mixing plate was sealed and packed.
Outer appearance:
The palette is made of plastic, has a see-through top lid and closes with magnets.
On the back of the palette you can find almost the same information as on the packaging.
All in all I’m satisfied with the palette, with one exception though. When I open the palette, there’s a risk to pinch my finger with it. So I’m very careful when opening.
In the palette they included a dual-ended lip brush.
On one end it looks as a usual lip brush. It’s easy to work with and fill in my lips with the color.
And on the other side they included a spatula for taking the product out on the mixing plate.
Colors:
All in all there are 18 colors in the palette - 13 matte lipsticks (marked with numbers) and 5 matte colors for mixing (marked as Primary).
This is how the lipsticks looked when I opened them for the first time.
Now they look a little bit used, as I use them really often.
Texture:
All the lipsticks have very pleasant to the touch texture. They are creamy while application but some time after they totally become matte. The colors are well pigmented and many colors look great even if I apply them with one layer, so I conclude that they’ll go a long way.
As for the texture and application, all the colors perform differently.
Pinky, dark-pink and red colors are very buttery and I wear them in one layer.
Brown (beige) shades are a little bit drier and sometimes don't apply evenly and I have to layer them. That’s not a problem but if I look very very close at my lips I can see that cakeyness.
Orange, purple and crimson colors are the driest yet the pigmentation is so great that I apply them with only one layer.
The plum color #13 is the worst I suppose and the only color that goes streaky and patchy.
A few words about mixing the colors. Some colors are stunning and can easily go solo because of their super pigmented formula. While other colors like white or yellow for example look awful on the lips solo and look decent only if mixed with the other colors.
These are not liquid matte lipsticks, that’s why they stain cups and fade after meals. But even for this texture, the products have great staying power and never dry or tighten my lips.

This very shade doesn’t look so shitty in life as on camera.
But still the application is trouble. It applies unevenly and a little bit patchy.
Color mixing:
For example you want to get mudy-green shade. Then you need to take some white color on the mixing plate, add some blue and green colors. Then mix them with spatula and here it is, the desired color is ready.
This is how it looks on my lips
You can create endless amount of colors and shades with this palette.
The brand has created a guide video on how to mix the colors and get other shades. You can find it on the official site.
Advantages of the palette:
For me they’re obvious - for $48 you get 18 matte lipsticks of compact size and a variety of potential mixed shades.
For this sum of money you can buy about 3 matte lipsticks by MAC or 4 lipsticks by NYX.
But here you also have the opportunity to create your own unique shades.
I want to highlight that the palette can stop your desire to buy every new lipstick once it’s released as you’ll be able to create it yourself. (I know what I'm talking about)
The palette is a must-have for makeup artist, as there will be no need to buy a lot of lipsticks for your clients.
Disadvantages of the palette:
Well, the most obvious disadvantage is that many girls won’t take the palette with them for touch-ups during the day as it’s bulky and big. And of course it’s inconvenient to use it in public places or on the go. That’s why many of us prefers regular lipsticks. And of course for a usual girl 18 lipstick colors are too much if she, for example, likes only 2-3 nude colors and never wears bold and bright shades.
The need to wash the brush after each application as well as washing the mixing plate also isn’t a plus. Besides, they really require washing, as the colors are very well pigmented and creamy, they’ll be impossible to wipe off with a tissue.
I also noticed that the brush leaves some pigment in its bristles. For example when I apply one color of the lipstick, on my lips I can see some pigment residue from the other colors as it sits very deep. But if you have some spare lip brushes, this won’t be a problem for you. What’s more, I can’t store the mixing plate in the palette. Well, of course I can but it’ll be always stained with lipsticks then.
Some other minor disadvantages:
Well, maybe these aren’t actual disadvantages, just my thoughts on that theme.
With time the lipsticks start look “weary” in the palette. I guess that many people will take it as non-hygienic, as the process of dipping of the brush in the palette is constant, they find it being unhygienic. But for me that’s the same as dipping the brush wand into the tube.
Other problems can arise if you run out of this or that color. But here are the other colors exist to mix them and create the color that you need. You can even fill in the old refill with the newly created shade, so that’s not a problem for me at all.
The next goes the problem of non-existent shades in the palette shade. For example, you mixed some colors, created your own unique shade, applied on your lips and went to a party. At the party you ate, drank and your lippie faded. You need a touch-up but there isn’t that shade in the palette, so you’ll have to take the mixing plate with you in a plastic bag for example as well as the brush.
My experience with this palette:
I like it and I’ve never regretted buying it. So now there’s no need for me to buy any newly released lipstick, as I can mix its color myself.
If you want to have a lip palette in your collection and create endless amount of stunning shades, then this palette is definitely for you.
