theBalm Frat Boy
All theBalm products come packed with very bright and vibrant packages in the Pin Up style and old America times. The compact with the product is handy and good quality. It’s a nice thick cardboard, which hasn’t become weary within all those years of use and still looks brand new.

Such packaging is sturdy and it’ll go a longer way than a plastic compact (even the one from a high-end brand). I appreciate this bright design of theBalm.
Inside the compact has a mirror, which is big enough to reflect almost my entire face. There’s also a lettering given in French and English.
The only thing I can’t get is why there’s only 8.5g of the product, while the Down Boy blush from the same brand has 9.9g, even though the packages look identical and they are the same in texture.
Frat Boy is a beautiful peach blusher, which, according to the packaging, can also be used as an eyeshadow. It’s very well packed with pigment, which is why I opt for a fluffy brush for its application (if you use a densely packed brush, then the color payoff will appear too bright).
The product is matte but I prefer more satin textures. I don’t like that it looks so dead matte on my skin. Besides, the color is too bold for me, I’m more into nude shades. But these are my personal preferences and I can’t be picky about it here.
The texture is soft and it’s easy to blend out, even though the formula doesn’t have talc in the ingredients.
Here’s a photo of the ingredients:
Frat Boy is a warm peachy blusher but if you’re more into cool tones, then I’d recommend you to have a look at the Down Boy shade from the same brand. It’s more cool-toned and here’s a comparison.
All in all I give it 4 stars but this is only due to my love of more satin and nude colors.
This product is good and quality. If you’re looking for a nice matte blusher, then I call you to pay attention to this one.
