Do you love eyeshadows as much as I do? I’m really excited to bring you this review about a high-end eyeshadow palette, which is an awesome find for me. I’m talking about The BALM Meet Matt(e) Trimony eyeshadow palette. So first things first.

Let me start off by saying that I’m obsessed with the design. I believe I’m not the only one who is raving about the whole brand design. Oh, everyone is affected by the pin up style!

Packaging: the product comes in blue packaging with a handsome man on it that has a Hollywood smile.

Hey, his name is Matt and we are going on a date with him now!

The palette comes in a protective paper package that has the same print as the palette itself, which is actually good, because if I carry my Matt around, he will look shabby too soon. The product has a magnetic closure and a medium-sized mirror inside.

Colors: the palette consists of totally matte hues, which are suitable both for everyday and evening makeups.

Swatches:

Payoff: The payoff is amazing. The colors are highly pigmented and do not fall out when I pick them up with a brush.

Texture: The eyeshadow is very soft and not dusty. The shades are bright and not flaky. Plus, they blend out without fuss!

Staying power: I strongly recommend you use an eyeshadow base if you have oily eyelids. The eyeshadow neither leaves any fallout nor sets into the creases! The wear time is about 7-8 hours.

My final thoughts:

  1. The palette has high-end, quality matte shades.

  2. I’m a huge fan of beauty-bloggers, so I can say that these shades will be perfect for a trendy plum makeup look! Moreover, this perfect black shade will be awesome for a classy smokey eye makeup.

  3. I guess it goes without saying that the design simply rocks! I would sell my soul for this packaging.

  4. ATTENTION! I have hooded eyes and I’m totally pleased with the results! Do you know that hooded eyes can be fixed only by applying a matte shade? There are 9 mattes in this palette! And I’d like to tell you one more thing. I’ve already tested a good deal of palettes, but it’s almost impossible to find a totally matte one! There is always at least a tiny bit of shimmer to them. So, this product is perfect for me, although it’s a little bit pricey.

Price: $42
