Hey!

Today I’ll be writing about a famous lip and cheek stain from Benefit.

I bought it in a big kit along with a few other lip products.

Product description:

What it is:The original—and still the best—rose-tinted cheek and lip stain. What it does:Benefit Benetint is the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle. A kiss-proof and smudge-proof, indelibly sheer tint, it gives an innocent yet provocative glow to keep everyone guessing.

Packaging:

Through the transparent bottle you can clearly see how much is left. All the inscriptions haven’t faded after a year in my makeup bag.

The brush is smooth and elastic, it picks up and applies the product effortlessly.

The formula is watery and has a saturated berry color. The scent reminds me of roses. It’s not overwhelming, I’d rather say, neutral.

Application:

Due to the liquid formula, the product settles in tiny lip creases and may emphasize imperfections. You can see this in the photo below:

However, if your lips are in a good condition, the lip stain will make them even more beautiful. That’s how it looks on the lips:

If there are any imperfections on the lips, the lip stain will wear off unevenly, settling in all the creases. Plus, it can dry lips out.

In the whole makeup

When applied onto the cheeks, the stain gives a natural blush, unless you apply too much, which is quite easy.

The application process requires manual dexterity. The stain must be blended with fingertips really quickly, otherwise it would eat into your skin, leaving strips.

Honestly, I prefer regular dry blushes over this.

The lip and cheek stain used as blush:

Lasting power:

The product lasts throughout the whole day, when applied on the cheeks. As a lip product it’s hardly durable.

It can’t live through a snack or a kiss. If you don’t touch your lips, it may last only about 2-3 hours. It’s not the result I was expecting.

So, I don’t understand why there is so much hype about this product. It can perform ideally only on ideal lips, and mine are hardly perfect. Plus, it can dry them.

Considering the price of this product, such flaws are unforgivable.

I’m glad I bought a kit, because it saved me from buying a full-size product.

I’d recommend buying a mini-bottle first.
