What accents do you prefer to put in your makeup? Lips or eyes?
I’m for the eyes, definitely! As for the lips, I usually opt for nude shades that match any eye makeup. But actually Benefit thinks that this is boring and offers us products to make our lips pouty and vibrant-looking with their new Punch Pop Liquid Lip Color which I’m actually going to make a review of today.
Usually I’m rather indifferent to the packaging the cosmetic product is housed in but this case is an exception. I couldn’t help and pass by this vibrant and bright packaging that is really so cool! I’m sure that it wasn’t just me caught by this packaging as there were a lot of girls buying this product that day.
But traditionally, the most interesting is still inside the cardboard packaging. And inside there are the new lip colors
Punch Pop! They are placed in a plastic tube which is color-coded with the lip color inside. The packaging is small and will easily fit in any makeup bag.

The lips colors have a small lip applicator which is hairy and fluffy to some extent. It always takes out the right amount of the product and allows me to apply it evenly and beautiful. The applicator is slant and flattened. I have to say that this isn’t the most convenient lip product applicator I’ve ever met, but still over time, I got used to it and now I don’t have any problems lining my lips with its help.
The lip color is of a gel-like creamy texture. In one swipe it gives bright and saturated color coverage with a glossy finish. Straight after application, the product might look messy and define flaking but within a few minutes, the coverage evens itself out and looks decent and very smooth.
The product will feather and bleed because of its lip gloss texture. So if you have small wrinkles around your mouth, it’ll be better to contour your lips with a lip pencil beforehand.
My lips don’t look like a gooey mess with this product on. It doesn’t ever settle into a white cast film in the center of the mouth as many other lip glosses sometimes do.
Even though the product is enriched with Vitamin E to take care of the lips, I haven’t noticed any moisture or nourishment from it. Yet it doesn't feel dry on the lips.
The weartime is about 3-4 hours. The products fade evenly leaving a slight cast of tint behind.
There are 5 main colors in the collection: Watermelon, Strawberry, Bubblegum, Cherry and Mango.
I have two of them: Mango and Cherry.
The Mango color I can describe as an orange-coral color. I don't think it actually suits me but I still wear it when I do certain eye makeup.
Be careful as this color makes my teeth look yellow. But still I like this color, it’s so summer-like and vibrant.
The product can settle into fine lines and small wrinkles but this can only be visible in a macro shot.
I appreciate the Cherry color more. It’s a very beautiful cerise color which is absolutely unique in my collection.
As well as
Mango, this color gives me a very beautiful and “tasty” glossy finish that stays on for about 2 hours and then starts fading.
Well, the new lip products by Benefit Punch Pop Liquid Lip Color look fantastic on my lips and I like the way they look on my beauty table among all the other lip products. These ones are definitely the most eye catching. I’m sure that I’ll wear the Cherry color more as Mango suits only certain eye makeup.
I like these products and especially appreciate their non-sticky finish, beautiful glossy shine and comfortable wear.
