Today we’ll speak about the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I’ve already bought it twice and my overall experience with it is rather long but I succeeded at writing a review of it only now. The first time I bought it was in 2016 and I was sure at that time I’d never repurchase. However, 2 years on, I bought it again.

What it is: A hybrid fluid that creates a fresh, natural complexion with the tiniest drop.
What it does: Skin looks refined and feels refreshed, creating an exquisite makeup experience. The fluid formula has a soft, waterlight texture.

For me, this product is exceptional for the summer because it’s really lightweight and airy. However, it may be a good friend for some of you all year round. It all depends on your preferences and skin condition.
About my skin:
It’s mixed, more dry and dehydrated in winter. When it’s warm, my skin is normal but still, sometimes I can see some oily shine in my T-zone. So, this is what a complicated thing my skin is and I have to adjust my foundations according to my its needs and seasons. I just can’t use the same products all year round.
In general, my skin condition is okay. Sometimes I suffer from occasional breakout but they aren’t permanent. Also, my pores are a little bit bigger around my nose. What’s more, I also have rosacea there which I need to cover up too.
As for the bad, I can list the uneven skin tone and some freckles, and rosacea of course. All that makes me use foundations for smoothing out my complexion and covering up all that discoloration on my face. It’s important to me that my skin doesn’t look mask-esque.

My preferences
Usually, I go for thick foundations which are really covering. But I also can’t get by without some lightweight and fluid textures, so usually, I fill my collections with such products as Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. Also, one of my trusties is this one from Dior Forever.

Recently, I was really obsessed with the Chanel makeup and used to fill my collection with their products. Now, the haze has gone but I’m still very much into them.

Design
Honestly, it doesn’t look high-end at all. Okay, let’s leave the packaging alone but look at that dispenser. What is it?
Actually, this terrible nozzle has always been one of the reasons why I didn’t want to repurchase. I don’t find it convenient. I love pumps, while here I have to twist, shake, turn, anything to get the product. I hate all that mess around the nozzle all the time. It makes me wipe it off constantly with wet wipes.

Consistency
It’s fluid as it should be. Light and pleasant to the touch.

It’s very easy to apply. It sets immediately on my skin.
After the application, I don’t detect it all and that’s the main pro for everyone who loves such a seamless coverage.
I have to say that if you want to smooth out your complexion with it, go for it. But if you want it to cover up something, opt for some other foundation.
Also, you’ll love it if your skin is oily because it’s lightweight and the water base doesn’t cake or grease the skin at all.
It won’t cover up reddening or dark under-eye circles. It also can’t do anything about pigmentation spots.
I haven’t seen any pore or flaking skin accentuation from it. It applies and wears well during the day. At least on me.

I have nothing to scold it for. But I still can’t praise it either. It’s just a good product which you should know what to use for. It’s better to test it out well before purchasing and I don’t mean swatching it on your hand.
Even though it’s my second tube already, I still think that it can be easily duped with more affordable foundations.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is good but never the best.
