Recently I had to purchase a good quality concealer that would be able to refresh my look in no time, because I had severe raccoon eyes after a surgery.
Everything that I had in my cosmetic bag couldn’t help me achieve the desired effect.
So I went to the store, where a sales assistant asked me what my requirement to the products were.
For me, a good concealer should disguise imperfections very well and last all day. More than that it should not settle into my fine lines and dry my skin out.
The girl recommended the Clarins Instant Concealer right away. She said that it performed very well and would cover up dark circles instantaneously. Also, she added that it was thought to be one of the best concealers so far and that I would definitely love it. So I purchased it without much thinking. The brand is decent and worth trying and all their products suit me very well.

It goes very well with dry and oily skin types.

Light Optimising + complex, a Clarins exclusive: instantly captures, diffuses and amplifies light. Fine lines and minor imperfections are visibly reduced. The complexion is left even-looking and radiant.
The packaging is red and glossy with the design typical for the brand.
The tube is made of soft light-beige plastic. Taking a closer look, you can also notice fine shimmer. The tube has only 15 ml of the product, which is not much. However it goes a really long way.
I wouldn’t call this packaging convenient. I guess it’s the only drawback for me. It doesn’t have any limiter, so it’s hard to control the amount. Sometimes it even flows too quickly.
The nozzle was initially covered with a protective foil.
The product is available in 3 shades:
❖ 01 Yellow-Beige. I chose this color over the others, because the rest of the shades seemed to me too dark and more suitable for tanned skin tone.
❖ 02 Pinky Beige.
❖ 03 Orange Beige.

The formula is magic! It’s pretty thick yet soft and applies to my skin very smoothly without leaving any streaks, clear lines or anything.
The product conceals my dark circles so perfectly! Keep in mind that I don’t mean under eye bags.
Below you can see the results immediately after applying. As far as I can see, it covers up bluishness and yellowishness really well.
After that I powder the area to remove the excess sheen.
Now my skin looks way better! I couldn’t get such results with the NYX concealer, BB Cream from Holika Holika, the hyped up CC cream from Lumene and the Clarins foundation.
Well, right. The coverage is not flawless and you can notice some difference between my overall skin tone and the area under my eyes, but it’s not a big deal. It is still wearable.
The product neither flows on me nor sets into my fine lines. Moreover, it doesn’t dry out my skin.
It wears literally from dusk till dawn! I just have to powder it now and then, whenever some oily sheen comes to surface.
It can also be used for concealing red pimples and pigment spots. It covers them all up in no time. As a result my skin looks flawless and healthy.
I’m totally pleased with the results. I recommended this concealer to all my friends already, and now I recommend you try it too!
