Today we’ll speak about the TOUCHE ÉCLAT CONCEALER by Yves Saint Laurent.
I have it in a limited edition ROCK RESILLE.
Shade #2 Luminous Ivory.
The only difference from the usual collection is in the outer design of the packaging.
Design and Use
The concealer is housed in a wand tube with a brush at one end and a dispenser button from another.
The dispenser button is convenient and it always gives out the right amount of the product on the brush.
The concealer has a lightweight texture that reminds me of a fluid.
The product sinks in quickly leaving a beautiful and natural finish.
Coverage and Effect
I want to look at the effect of this products in two different ways: concealer and a highlighter.
TOUCHE ÉCLAT as a concealer
If you use it as a concealer, don’t expect thick coverage. It’ll give you light coverage that can be close to average if layered. My skin on the eyes is very thin and in the photo you can see that that product hasn’t concealed small blood vessels.
As for the dark under eye circles I can’t say anything here. You see I just don’t have them so the coverage of the TOUCHE ÉCLAT is enough for me in terms of camouflaging my under eye skin.
If you have active and very dark circles under eyes, this product will not work for you as a concealer.
I guess that this concealer is aimed at sheer coverage and highlighting effects and that’s all.
The product doesn’t dry out my skin and never creases. It stays put the whole day.
2. TOUCHE ÉCLAT as a highlighter.
Well, honestly this product doesn’t look like a usual highlighter we all get used to see. This product lacks of any shimmer or shining micro particles.
But there are lots of light reflecting particles that highlight my skin from within. This product makes my look refreshed and young-looking. I also define my Cupid’s bow with it as well as brow bone and bridge of the nose.
I don’t like using TOUCHE ÉCLAT to highlight my cheekbones as for that area I want to have some more shine and definition.
Overall
TOUCHE ÉCLAT by Yves Saint Laurent is a worthy product for me. But don’t expect extraordinary things from it. Take it as a lightweight product to highlight some parts of the face and conceal minor blemishes. The product is a must if you are in a hurry and you have no time to apply foundation on.
