Hello there!
I want to tell you about my favorite and mostly used lipstick in the shade #748 by Clarins Joli Rouge.
Last year, I was presented with a gift card and I quickly set off for the store to fill in my lipstick collection. I needed a lippie of a neutral shade for spring.
Looking through a small pile of them, I finally stopped on the Clarins lipsticks. I don’t know what won my heart the most - its design or its shade but I bought this product without any thought and I’ve never regretted doing so.
Case
Sturdy, heavy and golden. It looks sleek and noble. Even though the casing is shiny and glossy, there’s still almost no scratches on it, despite me carrying it in my purse all the time.
Shade
I opted for a neutral shade to fit the bill for any occasion. One layer gives a beautiful ash rose shade while two and more coats reveal brighter and more pigmented finish. The color changes from an ash rose to the saturated pink one.
Quality
Characteristics-wise, this lippie is more like a chapstick for me. First of all, it’s easy and pleasant to apply. Secondly, it’s able to camouflage all my flaking skin bits, which are constant residents on my lips especially during the cold season. The third is that the formula isn’t drying out for my lips and non-feathering. I almost don’t detect it after the application and it doesn’t bring me any discomforting sensation.
The only gripe may be its staying power. On my lips, the lippie vanishes within an hour after a cup of tea with some snacks.
The fragrance might be an issue for some of you. You see, the smell here is floral and light. I like it.
For me, this lipstick is my small magic wand which is always here when I don’t have any time to outline my lips but still I want to look good with my lips defined. So, I apply this babe from Clarins and my problem vanishes.
Next time, I guess I’ll buy it either in the shade #723 or in a more vibrant one #713.
