I love nude lipsticks! I’ve tried a huge variety of them. Some of them have totally disappointed me and others have become my favorites. For example, I will definitely repurchase the Burberry, Dior Addict Extreme and Tom Ford Lip Color Rouge A Levres lipsticks.
Although I’ve found my go-tos, I’m always curious to try something new. Who knows, maybe a new lipstick would be even better.
Today I’d like to share my thoughts on the Clarins lipstick.

Design
The lipstick comes in a pretty golden tube, which closes securely with a click. Initially the lipstick was covered in a red paper package, where you can find all the necessary information.

Smell
It has quite a distinct smell that is sweet and floral. The lipstick reminds me of sweets or rather cherry sweets.
The scent is not off-putting, although it’s quite potent. It doesn’t disturb me personally.

The shade 01 Nude Rose
The name speaks for itself, so the shade is nude-rose. It’s very nice and reminds me a little bit of my natural lip color, but this one is a tad more intense. It doesn’t have any hint of orange. It’s not too dark or light, but the same as in the tube.

The texture it has is nice and creamy. The lipstick applies and spreads out on my lips really well.

The use and my impressions
As I’ve already said, the lipstick applies well. The application is streak-free and even. It doesn’t emphasize my lip lines or flakey bits. Generally speaking, this is the lipstick you can draw your lips with your eyes closed and without any mirror. As for me, this is the lipstick I use along with Dior while I’m in an elevator or on my way to work.
The shade is pastel and nude-pink. It’s good if you have a dress code at work. Fortunately, there is no strict dress code policy at my work, but I still prefer wearing such shades.

The wear time is medium. I can’t call it long-lasting. Actually I didn’t have many long-wearing lipsticks in my life, the last one I remember was MAC Lipstick Amplified.
So, Clarins survives about 3-4 hours without any snacks. The lipstick wears a little longer provided you use a lip contour pencil.
Moreover, the staying power depends on the coverage. If you apply a thin coat, it comes off quicker than, for example, two thick layers.
It doesn’t flow or accentuate dry patches throughout the day. It may crease and form a white line in the inner side of my lips. I don’t like it very much, when a lipstick forms a white line, but it can unfortunately happen with the Clarins Rouge Eclat Nude Rose.
It removes very easily as most of the other nude lipsticks actually. As a rule, I wash it off with a two-phase cleansing oil or micellar water.

All in all, this lipstick is a worthy product. It has a pastel shade and comes in a handy tube. The product behaves really well on my lips.
I can’t say that it’s my favorite lipstick from now on, but I like using it. I may someday buy another shade of it.
