I’ve been dreaming of ColourPop creme gel colours. Luck was on my street when I saw that the brand site offered 25% off. Aside from these products, I also bought some color creme liners from them.
Packaging: These are typical glass jars with a colorful top cap. Make sure to open the jar, pick up the formula and close it quickly so as the formula won’t dry down.

Shades: (I’ll tell you about each shade in details a little bit lower)
ColourPop Creme Gel Colour
- Puppy - is a vibrant berry-carrot shade
- Punch - warm yellow
- Cry baby - lavender
- Piggy Bank - purple
- Venus - red
Application: Some shades were initially drier than the others. The driest of all pack is Piggy Bank. That’s obvious from the swatch because the product doesn’t almost sit at all. The most vibrant is Venus.
Eyelining: At first I applied the yellow shade Punch and tried to line my eyes. If I tell you I was disappointed, that would mean nothing. The line applied with clumps and didn’t cover up the purple shade. It also was impossible to apply with one smooth line.

I managed to line my eyes only with the orange Puppy shade more or less with the red Venus one:

I used the Natasha Denona Sunrise palette for this makeup too.

Waterline: I felt sorry but still decided to recover the purple-yellow shade and applied the Piggy Bank on my waterline.
As you can see, my waterline looks nude because the product was impossible to make sit on it.
Eyeshadow: The products can be blended out on my eyes (if you’re pretty quick) and they might even look good but later, they’ll be so difficult to cover up with eyeshadows or a black liner because of the dry texture.

Here I have the shade Cry Baby all over my mobile lid and Piggy Bank in my outer corners. You can see how badly the black liner looks here.

Wear time: The formula is waterproof and it’s able to stay on me the entire day. They don’t stain my skin and will be great even for oily eyelids. They can be removed with bi-phase makeup removers.
Overall thoughts: The quality here highly depends on the shade.
The purple one is the driest. It’s difficult to apply and blend. Also, it’s impossible to line my eyes with.
The red shade is the softest and greasy. It works as an eyeliner but you’ll still have to touch-up because the shade will never apply thick. I can recommend this very shade.
As for the orange, it’s rather soft and good for eye lining and blending. Its coverage is thick and patch-free. I also recommend this shade.
Yellow- It’s terrible as an eyeliner because it’s dry. One can apply it all over the eyelids but this way, the texture will be too popping. You’ll also feel how dry it is on your skin. Besides, no eyeshadow will apply on top of it.
The purple one is average in thickness, so it can be applied all over your eyes. But it’s very light and gray for the eyeliner.
If you want to have really soft and long-wearing eyeliners, it’s better to look at the Tarte Clay Pot.
If you ask me, I regret buying these products from ColourPop.
