Pros: applies easily, gives a delicate glow, gorgeous shades
Cons: may emphasize skin texture

Hello girls!

I’ve been trying to make friends with the ColourPop highlighters three times. This time I succeeded.

I’ve picked up the highlighting palette with no less than 6 shades that is called GIMME MORE! The palette was released some time ago along with the first YES, PLEASE! Highlighter Palette with 12 shades. They are designed in one style.

Under the bright packaging you can find a light gray paper packaging with an optimistic writing: ‘I like your face.’ The color of the palette is nice, but it’s easy to smear. I would prefer it to be darker.

On the back you can see the names of the shades.

The highlighting shades:

The upper row from left to right:

Extra: it looks almost white in the palette, but in reality it’s a delicate golden color.

Upgrade: it’s a light pink shade that looks the same on my skin as in the palette.

Bottomless: it’s a vibrant tangerine shade with a hint of gold. It looks paler on my skin than in the palette.

The lower row from left to right:

Full Service: it’s a darker pink with a warm golden hue.

Bigger and Better: a bright golden color.

Total Package: it’s a pink gold.

The lower row is a little bit too dark for my fair skin, but I like mixing it with lighter shades of this palette to achieve a warmer and brighter result.

Now I’d like to show you the swatches.

I know that some of you don’t like to see the swatches on a fist, but it’s easier to catch the glow in the picture then. So I apologize if I hurt your feelings with these shots.

The main questions for me are whether the glowing particles are noticeable and if it’s possible to achieve a natural glow.

So, the particles are present there and close-ups prove it. However, if I don’t look at my face very close in real life, I don’t see them.

So, this peculiarity is not a deal-breaker.

As for the natural glow, it’s actually hard to achieve it, because this product offers more like ‘shine bright like a diamond’ than ‘lit from within’ effect.

Moreover, the close ups showed us ruthlessly that the highlighters may emphasize your skin texture, but I haven’t noticed it in reality.

Let’s look at the highlighters in action now.

In the first picture I’ve applied the most gentle Extra shade in a thin coat. I think that it gave me quite a soft glow.

In the second photo I’ve used Bigger and Better and got the so-called ‘visible from space’ glow.

I’m pleased with the results and the quality of this palette.

Definitely recommended!

Thank you for your attention!
