Recently, the ColourPop brand has become very popular thanks to their red eyeshadows and lipsticks, and also budget-friendly prices.
ColourPop Lippie Stix
The design of the product is quite simple and neat. It’s made of white plastic, the top closes with a click and the inside (which protects the stick itself) is of the same color as the stick. All the lettering disappears with time, which doesn't look good.
The stick has a classic creamy consistency, which is thick enough to cover your your lips’ pigment. It easily applies on my lips, doesn’t emphasize unevenness, but can emphasize dry patches. It doesn’t smear or roll up. The lipstick applies evenly and brightly with the first coat. Thanks to the convenient shape of the stick itself, it’s very easy to contour my lips. I don’t use a lip pencil when I apply this product.
The only minus about this ColourPop lippie is that it dries my lips, but since it’s matte, that’s quite obvious. Even a lip primer can’t save the situation here. Of course, it’s not as drying as Nouba, for example, but still, I feel such a discomfort after removing this product.
The staying power is about 4 or 5 hours. It can easily live through some snacks, but it won't stay a full meal. It’s better to remove it beforehand.
The Lumiere color is the color of dusty rose. It’s very beautiful, but it makes me look older. That’s why I hardly ever wear it, only if it suits well to my outfit.
Even though they say that the product is matte, I’d say that it’s satin.
I didn’t fall in love with the ColorPop lippies, maybe because I was waiting for something extraordinary. But in general, there’s nothing special about it.
Overall, I assess this product with ★★★★ and recommend buying it. But be ready to use lip balms at least twice more regularly.
