Pros: affordable price, compact size, the design is cute
Cons: badly pigmented

This palette was actually the first eyeshadow palette of mine. Rather unusual for the first try, isn’t it? But it’s super cute and, so to speak, childish design melted my heart. I didn’t even pay much attention to the shades. 😂

I ordered this palette on the official website, along with some other cosmetic products. The packaging inside was on fleek. They also put a thank you card inside, which I still have and didn't throw away.

So, the compact of the eyeshadows is cardboard without any mirror inside. The palette closes with magnets.

The shades are named after the unicorns. Such a cool idea!

The design is awesome on all sides of the palette. But what about the quality of the products?

I heard a lot of rave reviews of the ColourPop eyeshadows. But for me, they don’t seem to be out of this world quality-wise. Before I tried any other eyeshadow palettes by other brands, I used to think that this palette is perfection and the most pigmented one. Now, I hardly ever use it.

First of all, the shimmer shades look cheap and their glistening particles are too chunky and they fall out covering my face. However, the matte shades are rather decent, they aren’t dry, they show medium pigmentation and they blend out well. Those two bold pink shades are really the same application-wise, even though they seem to be different on the pan. And actually, this happens with a lot of shades from this palette. They all seem to have kind of a strange undertone. The basic white and silver shades blend out into an odd bluish-teal. In fact, the expectation doesn’t have anything to do with reality when it comes to these eyeshadows.

But this palette will be a discovery for a newbie since this formula is difficult to stain your eyes with and they all have nice blending power. Such nice shades are dope for the price of the palette.

If you're an advanced eyeshadow user, then this palette will be too weak for you. I’d pay my attention to some others instead.
