Lately I’ve been seeing so many products from the Korean brand Dr.Jart+ so I couldn’t help but order some. First of all, I was curious to try out their facial masks.I got a miniature of this Beauty balm as a gift for my order. I liked its description plus I’ve been thinking of such tinted sunscreen for a while since I have had a few birthmarks removed from my face and I needed a cream with a high SPF.

The formula is gentle, like that of a lightweight face lotion and seems to absorb instantly, but…
The color medium to deep didn’t suit me. Firstly, even though I’m pretty tanned, the shade turned out to be way too dark for my skin tone. Secondly, the shade isn’t simply dark beige, it has a nasty yellow-red undertone. It is visible during application and I can’t figure whom such a color can suit at all. But it’s nothing compared to what follows.
Application and results:
As I’ve mentioned above, the BB cream is gentle and easy to apply, but gives an uneven coverage. I think you can see it in the photos. It covers no imperfections; on the contrary, it seems to make them stand out. Yes, my pores are wide, but the BB cream makes them even more visible! The worst part is that it leaves a nasty shine on my face which becomes more and more detectable over time. And I don’t even want to speak about any lifting effect.
The longevity is awful. Once, I left my house for a half an hour and when I returned I saw that I looked awful with this uneven skin tone, face shine and this nasty reddish color. It looked as if I’d worked for 24 hours in the field, and I looked tired.
Once, I tried to apply this under my eyes and the cream settled down in the little lines after half an hour and emphasized even the tiniest wrinkles. It does not improve, it makes my face even worse!
The only good thing about it is the high SPF. The rest is nothing but disappointment.
I was surprised to learn that Dr. Jart+ was the first brand to introduce BB creams to the market.
Nevertheless, I’m not going to try out any beauty balm from their brand anymore.
