You know, Lancome Hydra Zen BB Crème has become my first high-end foundation product. I chose it because I needed a product with a lightweight texture which would flatter my pale complexion. I also wanted it to be comfortable while wearing and dry- and sensitive skin type friendly.
There wasn’t much to choose from because I used to live in a small town. Even though I was living in the North, even the fairest shades of foundation would look too yellow or pink over my face.
I didn’t want to splurge much and after some thinking finally decided to buy this product.
At first, it was packed in a box, which also included guidance but I don’t have it anymore. The box was neat, sleek and minimal-designed, as well as the tube itself.
The nozzle of the product is usual and I have to say that it’s never leaked. Simple and safe at the same time.
The consistency is strange: it seems flaking when I take it out but it still distributes well on my skin. The smell is pleasant, creamy and non-chasing.
It sinks in rather long, doesn’t leave any film behind and feels really comfortable. It can be applied even with fingers and the coverage won’t look patchy then.
Of course, the coverage isn’t good enough to conceal severe skin blemishes. But in fact, it makes my skin visually healthier and complexion smoother.
In the photo, I applied the product with my fingers. There’s no powder or concealer. It’s a perfect everyday wear option for me, especially when I’m in a hurry. But usually, I still prefer applying it with a beauty blender or any other makeup sponge.
It’s noteworthy that the product doesn’t provoke skin flaking or reddening or any other skin woes. By the way, SPF 15 is a good bonus.
Let your complexion be glowing with health!
