Hello!
Recently, while placing an order on a website, my attention was caught by this E.L.F. blush. It looked so interesting, besides, the price was affordable and the reviews were only positive, so it was a crime to withstand.
I was waiting for the delivery anxiously. And now I can say that this product really surprised me. Nasty surprised. 🙄
First things first, and I do really hope that my review will be useful for you.
🍑 MAIN PRODUCT INFO
Price: $4.00
Weight: 10g
Shelf life 12 months
Product says:
This weightless, cream-to-powder blush creates a fresh natural glow. The nourishing argan oil and vitamin E infused formula can also be used as a lip tint or an eyeshadow!
🍑PACKAGING
The packaging carried me away once I saw it on the website. You can’t even tell that it’s an affordable makeup item.
It’s plastic with a glossy top cap. It’s gorgeous and really touchable.
🍑COLOR, SMELL, CONSISTENCY
The product offers 2 shades to choose from: pink and peach. I opted for the peach one for my swarthy skin.
The consistency is gentle and easy to pick up with my finger. The packaging is wide, so the product isn’t stuck under my nails, even though I wear them short.
It’s easy to blend out on my hand.
The shade is peachy, gentle and really beautiful.
I can see some shimmer infusion, which isn’t so obvious on my skin, though.
🍑 USE AND RESULTS
Before purchasing it, I read some reviews where they said that this blush is difficult to go overboard with.
I’m really scared about applying too much of my blushes, so this thing actually hooked me.
I pick up this cream formula with my finger and then apply over my skin.
not blended
After that, I blend it out with my fingers neatly and then I can see nothing on my cheeks at all!
I do the same thing again and again but nothing happens! I pack and pack the coverage but there’s nothing on my face. It feels like there’s some hint of it but I’m not sure.
blended out
And total look:
I can see it on my fingers, I can see it on my cheek when I touch it with my finger. However, when I blend it out, the product vanishes! It’s magic!
I guess this is all due to the barely pigmented formula. This isn’t the first affordable blush that I have but I’ve never seen anything like that before.
🍑OVERALL
I’m confused. It feels like it’s a waste of money for me. How can I use something which is invisible on my face?
I don’t even know who might probably like it: either people with porcelain-pale skin or little girls who are under 12, when their moms don’t allow them to wear makeup but they still want to.
I give it 2 stars and only for the packaging.
