It took me a really long time to find my color of the blush. My skin is of warm undertones so most of the pinky-toned blushes look odd on my skin. Through trial and error I found my perfect blush shade. Dusty rose color with peachy undertones suits me all year round and complements any makeup look. One of my favorite blush is E.L.F. Cosmetics Studio Blush in the shade Blushing Rose
I found the product absolutely by chance. When I was shopping online on Iherb.com, I needed to add a $3 product to get free delivery. And this is how I actually got this product.
♥♥♥♥ GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE E.L.F. Cosmetics Studio Blush ♥♥♥♥
Packaging. The packaging is lightweight and made of matte plastic material. It becomes dirty and dusty very quickly. Some stains are even impossible to wipe off over time which doesn’t look pleasant.
The top lid opens and closes easily on 180 degrees.
The packaging is sturdy so don’t be worried that it pop opens in your bag.
Inside the packaging there’s a mirror. But it’s so small that I can’t use it as my face it too big for this mirror. One eye, that’s all that I can see reflected there. And when I apply the blush, I’d like to see my both cheeks preferably. No brush included, so I had to buy a brush as well. So, the product can’t be called travel-friendly, at all.
Shade:
Blushing Rose
Color and fragrance:
It’s a dusty rose color with peachy undertones.
The product contains a copious amount of shimmer to it.
But the particles are very small and finely grained, so you won’t look like a shining Christmas tree. The shimmer is good and gives a delicate glow from within. The product is almost unscented. If you put your nose straight into the packaging, you’ll feel a very light and caramel smell.
Texture:
The blush is dry and hence dusts while application. Sometimes there are badly-grained pebbles in the packaging that I have to take out.
I apply the product with my Blush Brush by Real Techniques.
Before the application to my face, I always take off the excess amount from the brush over my hand. Otherwise there’s a risk of applying too much. The pigmentation is good so be careful not to stain your cheeks or face in general.
Staying power:
I don’t carry the blush with me but I guess that a small touch up by the end of the working day is needed. The product looks bright and is visible for approximately 4 hours and and then it starts fading. But maybe that happens because of my bad habit of touching my face. So, I can conclude that the product is rather long-lasting.
Price
I bought it for $3. Maybe now it costs more, I don’t know.
Time of use:
4 months
