I’ll try to be as objective as possible, reviewing this concealer. But I know that it will be rather difficult. I don’t have any severe black under eye circles or bags.

The line-up consists of 3 shades:
Without any thinking, I bought this concealer for me. I hadn’t even bothered with reading some reviews of it beforehand. I opted for the lightest shade, even though my skin is far from being fair. I was sure that this concealer would never be as fair as I’d love it to be.

Why do I need this concealer?
I’ve already revealed that in the title. I decided to try out the cut crease technique for my makeup myself. It means concealing the mobile lid all over. I also need it to camouflage some skin blemishes (yes, I know, guys, that I need a corrector for that).

I liked the shade of the concealer in the tube. Look at it, such a gentle pink shade with a gray undertone, it seemed to me…

The applicator is soft, comfy and lip gloss-esque. It takes out the right amount of the concealer.

Once I took the applicator out, I could see that it was warmer than in the tube.

And a swatch on my hand just proved that.
The texture is creamy, it applies on smoothly, offers opaque coverage and doesn’t crease. The aroma is so so. But the shade… The shade you can see yourself. It’s dark and warm. Even when my skin is tanned. It isn’t the fairest for sure.

Compare it with the formula in the tube. These are different, aren’t they? On my hand, the color is truly orange-toned. I hope that here my review is already informative for everyone who wants to buy this concealer and gets a real “fair” shade.
Even though my under eye skin isn’t dark and there aren’t any bags, I still want to try out this concealer there, plus try to camouflage a big pimple.

Oddly enough but the color adjusted to my skin tone so well. It doesn’t look red anymore like it used to be on the swatch. The product offers a satin finish (that’s true). It isn’t matte or fatty. It’s exactly what I need.
I also applied it over my skin blemishes with dots. The coverage isn’t bad but in this photo, you can see the difference in my skin tone. But a foundation or a powder can also easily correct this issue.

This is how I use it currently. And now let’s pass over to the main reason why I bought it - cut crease makeup.
I’m not a professional and I can’t take good pictures either. At first, I apply some gradient eyeshadows on my eyes. After that, I cut the crease and a little bit above with the E.L.F. HD Lifting Concealer. I use the featured applicator for that. Currently, I don’t see any use of a brush. The applicator is nice and handy to do the job. The problem of the concealer lies in its color, which is dark and I have to set it with powder a lot (I mean I apply the fairest shade of my eyeshadows). In the picture, you can see the result with the fair shade over the concealer.

And then I fill in that fair spot with an eyeshadow:

Here, it’s very important not to apply too much because if your eyes are hooded, all this beauty will be very detectable, like here. And yeah, it creases. Oh, my makeup is wild here. :)

The colors open up brighter over the concealer and I like this precise line above the crease. It doesn’t look its best yet. Maybe it’s time to tune in a brush…

In the end:
E.L.F. HD Lifting Concealer is rather affordable price-wise. Its texture is pleasant and the coverage is fine. But, be careful with the shade. The brand is American and aimed at swarthy and tanned gals. So, if your skin is fair, it’ll be tricky to work with the shade. One more thing, the formula creases if I overdo it on my eyes, as well as on my skin. In general, this product is so multi-tasking for me. I recommend you try it out as well.
