Hello there! I love highlighters a lot and I’m always glad when I buy them for my collection. As for this product, it made me really puzzled.

Product info:
💎Outer appearance
Like all other branded products, this one looks gorgeous. It was packed with a glossy cardboard box at first. The box doesn’t have any frills about it, only some product info and the branded logo.
Shade #02 is given on the bottom
The product is packed with a long pen tube. It looks dope - golden casing, which doesn’t appear too much at the same time. This pen has really become a gem of my beauty table. It definitely feels like a high-end makeup.
Press the pump to get the formula to come out. Firstly, you’ll have to press it about 10 times to get the first portion of the highlighter. After that, the process goes much better.
The product has a concealer brush. It’s densely packed and resilient. It doesn’t tug my skin and I do find it handy to use.
For me, it’s the most convenient type of the brush. Now, I don’t even reach for sponges or other tools.
💎Characteristics.I have it in the shade #02 Luminous Ivory. Well, maybe the fairer shade would be better for me but this shade also fits the bill well.
This very shade is fair-based with a slight beige undertone.
The product inside is said to be a highlighter but I can’t see any shimmer or glistening parts in it at all. This is probably the main feature. If you need a traditional highlighter, then toss this brightening pen.
The texture is thick and creamy. Nevertheless, it feels lightweight. The product isn’t difficult to apply or spread, the blending is fuss-free and the setting is immediate.
💎Impressions of use
Honestly, I still can’t make up my mind on what kind of product it actually is. It’s not a highlighter for sure. But it’s more like a product for skin brightening. I use it mainly as a concealer for my under eye area.
I use another concealer from Yves Saint Laurent over my skin blemishes. In fact, they are almost the same for me.
I tried out this one and applied it over different skin areas. Here I went overboard and applied it almost all over my face to highlight it.
So, what results did I get? Honestly, I don’t know. I can’t see any difference before and after use.
It works better under my eyes, making my skin smoother and color-corrected.
It seems okay there. But I have a question: why do I have to use this brightening pen when I can use my concealer and apply some highlighter over it myself? I don’t see the point in all that cakeness, besides the result isn’t so obvious either.
But it may be a good option if used as a concealer.
Overall
the product nicely corrects my under eye area. It’s a good concealer, especially for problematic skin.
I don’t see any highlighting effect on my skin. In fact, I don’t like such products which can be visible only through a magnifying glass.
The wear time is excellent. I just set it a little bit with a powder and then it stays put till the evening.

Cons:
Overall: Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ÉCLAT RADIANT TOUCH Brightening Pen is the product that I liked. I just can’t get why they called it like that. The naming is misleading and some people who don’t know much about it can really waste their money if they want it to be a highlighting makeup.
I wish they named it “Illuminizer” or something like that.
