I thought Farsali oil would be my worst purchase at Sephora, but I was wrong. The oil did something good, but this foundation…
This is a review of a full-size bottle with 1,08 oz. Actually, I don’t find this foundation so pricey, especially in comparison with other high end foundations. The color range is pretty large. Plus, this foundation isn’t stinky, like that from Huda. The design is nice. But what am I supposed to do with it?
My skin is combination, oily to normal, with not so large pores, without acne, acne marks or pigment spots. I have occasional pimples with little fine lines.
I like long lasting matte foundations, such as Estee Lauder Double wear or Lancome (the latter is only for summer, because it tends to oxidize). So I thought I would love this one too.
I tried to apply it with the following tools: beauty blender, dense foundation brush, duo fibre brush, doe foot brush, fingers, even with a silicone applicator. I tried to apply it over a light moisturizer and over a rich moisturizer (I tried out 3 different face creams!). I tried to apply the foundation over face oil, clean face, over mattifying, glowing and moisturizing primers, with finishing powder and without it.
I literally danced around it.
It doesn’t matter if the foundation settles into my pores or makes flaking stand out. It’s okay that the foundation makes my nasolabial fold deep like Marianas Trench.
But the fact that the foundation wear off in a couple of hours is really too much. The look on the nose and in the corners of the mouth is truly horrifying, and my T-Zone shines like crazy. And it cannot be touched up!
The foundation comes off with mattifying wipes as well as with a powder sponge.
You know what it looks like?
It’s like a cheap liquid lipstick applied in a very thick layer that falls apart to pieces.
Like most women, I apply foundation in the morning before going to work. And I don’t want to spend 2 hours trying to tame this whimsical beast, and end up with an awful coverage anyway.
That’s why I don’t really want to buy anything else from Rihanna. It’s the worst foundation I ever had. Even Huda Beauty Foundation isn’t that terrible - at least, it doesn’t fall off like plaster.
In the photo I’m showing the amount of foundation I spent before I realized that it’s a fail.
